Fake website of Ministry of Finance's electronic information portal
The subjects used the name of the Ministry of Finance to ask people to transfer money through these fake websites and fanpages.
The Ministry of Finance recommends that people and businesses be vigilant against impersonation and abuse of the name of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Finance's leaders to defraud people for personal gain. It is recommended that people and businesses be vigilant and cautious in money transfer transactions with fake websites, fanpages and strangers on the internet.
The trick of the subjects is to target victims who have lost money due to online fraud, turning them into "prey" a second time when they seek help on social networks to recover the lost money. The calls for support seem humane, but in fact, they are sophisticated traps aimed at exploiting the panic and gullibility of the victims.
At the same time, when detecting signs of fraud, it is necessary to report to the authorities to avoid possible unfortunate losses.

Currently, the Ministry of Finance is coordinating and requesting relevant agencies to investigate the acts of forging documents, signatures, and seals of the leaders of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Finance's electronic information portal.
Previously, on March 31, 2025, the Ministry of Finance warned about a Facebook page called "Receiving, Processing, Recovery and Refunding of Suspended Capital" using images and information of the Ministry of Finance, claiming to represent the Ministry of Finance to "recover money" for victims of online fraud.
Immediately afterwards, on April 15, 2025, the Ministry of Finance once again issued a warning to people and businesses about forging documents that take advantage of the name of the Ministry of Finance to fraudulently "recover money" for victims of online fraud.
On May 30, 2025, the Ministry of Finance continued to issue a notice on the forgery of documents of the Ministry of Finance, forgery of signature seals of the leaders of the Ministry of Finance, leaders of units under the Ministry of Finance, forgery of the Ministry of Finance's website and fanpage to request people to transfer money to scammers through these fake websites and fanpages.
Currently, the Ministry of Finance only uses the Electronic Information Portal (domain name: https://www.mof.gov.vn ) to provide information on the activities of the Finance sector to people and businesses.
