Ethiopian Airlines prepares to launch Addis Ababa – Hanoi route

(Chinhphu.vn) - Opening a direct flight route between Ethiopia and Vietnam will promote trade, tourism, and people-to-people exchange between the two countries in particular, Africa and Southeast Asia in general.

Ethiopian Airlines - Ethiopia's national airline, has been licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam ( Ministry of Construction ) and will operate its first flight from the capital Addis Ababa on July 10, 2025, to the capital Hanoi on July 11 and the return flight to Addis Ababa on the same day.

Ethiopian Airlines is also working with Vietnam Airlines on connecting and expanding the two airlines' flight network in the coming time.

Ethiopian Airlines is headquartered in Addis Ababa. Founded in 1945, it has grown to become Africa's largest and most profitable airline, operating international passenger and cargo services to 80 destinations worldwide and domestic services to 28 destinations.

Ethiopian Airlines is a member of the Star Alliance and continues to expand its network and services with a fleet of over 140 aircraft, including modern Airbus A350 and Boeing B787 aircraft.
