Lam Son commune is located at the foot of Ngoan Muc pass, bordering Lam Dong province to the west, at an altitude of 1,400m - 1,600m and gradually decreasing to the northeast; is an area favored by nature, with a cool climate, relatively fertile land, favorable for development into a concentrated fruit growing area and is certified with the "Ninh Son Fruit" label with an area of over 500 hectares, including trees such as: durian, rambutan, mangosteen, jackfruit, coconut, grapefruit, mango... Besides, the commune has National Highway 27 running through it, creating a great advantage in building rest stops and exchanging goods; is a favorable condition for Lam Son commune to develop a specialty fruit growing area associated with garden eco-tourism, combined with natural landscapes such as: Ngoan Muc pass, Sakai waterfall, Da Nhim hydropower plant... Thereby, attracting tens of thousands of visitors to visit each year.
Picking and enjoying fruit by yourself is an interesting experience for tourists. |
Following the Lam Son Fruit Garden Tourist Site sign located on Highway 27, we followed the concrete road shaded by green trees and laden with fruit towards the North Lam Son area (in the areas of Lam Hoa, Lam Binh, Lam Phu villages). With more than 10 gardeners and associated groups participating in the fruit garden tourism business model such as: Vuon Trinh Garden House, Dang Quang, Xuan Hung, Quang Lai, Thao Nguyen..., this is considered an ideal destination for those who love fruit and want to enjoy a fresh, cool space in the middle of the hot summer.
Visiting the fruit garden with a group of friends, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thao (a tourist from Lam Dong province) shared that every year her group goes to enjoy fruit at the garden in Lam Son commune. With a ticket price of 40,000 VND/turn for guests to check-in and take photos; fruits are weighed and charged at a reasonable price, she is completely satisfied. For her, enjoying ripe durian in the garden, along with rustic, local dishes is an interesting experience. In particular, green mangosteen salad with hill chicken is an experience that she advises her friends not to miss when coming here. Traveling in Phan Rang ward, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Hoai ( Ho Chi Minh City) was introduced by her friends to visit Lam Son fruit garden. Ms. Hoai said that the air here is very fresh, the space is cool and green, natural fruits, creating a sweet feeling. She not only enjoys but also picks the fruit herself, from rambutan, avocado, grapefruit to mangosteen, each with its own unique flavor.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh - owner of Xuan Hung Fruit Garden said: This year's fruit garden has a more favorable season, there are no unseasonal rains, so the flower and fruit processing steps are also convenient. The fruit trees in the garden only have one season in the summer, do not use chemicals and are grown in the direction of clean fruit. In addition to focusing on taking care of 2 hectares of fruit gardens, this year, the gardeners also invested in entrance gates, nameplates, building garden regulations, installing wifi, display counters, sanitation systems, playgrounds... Some culinary products and souvenirs in the commune and neighboring areas are also brought by the gardeners to serve tourists such as: Chicken, fish, black pigs, baskets, crossbows, Chapi instruments, rice wine, traditional costumes of the Raglai ethnic group; pre-processed fruit products such as apples, grapes, wine, apple honey... for tourists to buy as gifts. Because of these rustic and attractive things, the gardeners do not have to worry about the source of customers.

The linkage group is responsible for agreeing on prices with gardeners and implementing models; ensuring food hygiene and safety during the tourist season, creating a linkage model between gardens... Thanks to that, the number of tourists coming to visit and travel increases by an average of 20 - 30% per year. In June 2025 alone, there were 700 to 900 people visiting the gardens every day, with 1,500 to 2,000 people visiting on peak Saturdays and Sundays, with the total revenue of household participating in the fruit garden tourism model being nearly 1 billion VND, the household with the highest revenue being about 100 million VND, the lowest being about 20 million VND.
With the goal of exploiting the local tourism potential, especially natural tourism resources and cultural tourism resources associated with agricultural cultivation activities and ethnic community culture to create a unique tourism brand, develop the concentrated fruit tree production area of Lam Son..., in the period of 2025 - 2030, Lam Son commune advocates encouraging and promoting the development of garden ecotourism and services, creating jobs, increasing income for fruit growing and contributing positively to the local economic growth. Along with that, continue to invest in infrastructure such as: Upgrading traffic routes, main power lines to the core area to serve the consumption and development of specialty fruit trees in a safe and highly effective direction.
In addition to attracting tourists, Lam Son commune will organize activities to connect with domestic and international travel businesses. specifically: Participate in exhibition booths to introduce and promote the province's tourism at cultural and tourism events; organize famtrips, presstrips to survey and discuss opinions; coordinate with travel businesses to survey and build tours and routes connecting Lam Son commune tourism with tourist areas and destinations inside and outside the province...
