Pepper price today 7/7/2025: Maintain high price

Today's domestic pepper price on July 7 is at 139,000 - 144,000 VND/kg. Domestic and world pepper prices last week increased sharply again in most major exporting countries.

Domestic pepper price

Pepper prices today in key growing areas remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Accordingly, the domestic pepper price level is from 139,000 VND/kg to 144,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands region, pepper prices today in Dak Lak remained unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 144,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today in Gia Lai is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 139,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today in Dak Nong is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 140,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, pepper prices today in Ba Ria - Vung Tau are currently at 140,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai is unchanged from yesterday at 140,000 VND/kg.

In addition, pepper price today in Binh Phuoc is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 140,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today 7/7/2025: Last week increased sharply

Over the past week, pepper prices have increased sharply from 7,000 to 12,000 VND/kg depending on the region. Dak Lak is currently the place with the highest price after increasing by 11,000 VND/kg during the week.

In provinces such as Dak Nong, Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Dong Nai, pepper prices increased by VND7,000/kg compared to last week. Binh Phuoc recorded a sharp increase of up to VND12,000/kg.

Gia Lai is currently the locality with the lowest pepper price, but also recorded an increase of 8,000 VND/kg last week.

Pepper price today 7/7 in the world market

In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Community (IPC) has updated the prices of pepper of all types traded in the international market on July 6 (local time) as follows:

Indonesia's Lampung black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $7,541 per tonne. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $10,187 per tonne.

Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices were unchanged from yesterday at $6,250/tonne.

Malaysia’s ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $8,900/ton. Meanwhile, the country’s ASTA white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $11,750/ton.

Prices of all types of pepper in Vietnam remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 6,240 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 6,370 USD/ton.

Similarly, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $8,950/ton.

World pepper prices have recovered in most major exporting countries over the past week.

In Indonesia, black pepper prices increased slightly by $11 per ton compared to last week. Meanwhile, Vietnam’s black pepper export prices recorded a sharp increase from $440 to $470 per ton. Brazil also saw ASTA 570 black pepper prices increase by $400 per ton.

The market also recorded an upward trend for white pepper. The price of Indonesian Muntok white pepper increased by 15 USD/ton. Meanwhile, in Vietnam, the export price of white pepper increased by 150 USD/ton last week.

Pepper exports in the first 6 months of 2025 increased sharply in value, slightly decreased in output

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in the first 6 months of 2025, Vietnam exported 124,900 tons of pepper, earning 859.6 million USD. Although output decreased by 12.4% compared to the same period last year, thanks to the average export price reaching 6,881 USD/ton, a sharp increase of 54.8%, the turnover still increased by 35.7%.

The US, Germany and India are the three largest consumer markets for Vietnamese pepper, accounting for 26.8%, 9.2% and 7.7% of total turnover, respectively. Notably, exports to India increased by 86.7%, Germany by 73.7% and the US by 34.8%. In particular, the UK market had a breakthrough increase of 2.1 times, while the Netherlands decreased sharply by 12.5%, becoming the market with the biggest decline among the top 15 major importing countries.

In June 2025 alone, the US remained the largest export market with 4,439 tonnes, but down 30% from the previous month. Meanwhile, exports to China increased sharply by 28.5% to 3,330 tonnes. Other major markets included the UAE with 1,727 tonnes, India with 1,239 tonnes and Germany with 1,012 tonnes.

Some of the biggest pepper exporting enterprises in the month included Nedspice Vietnam with 2,036 tons, Olam Vietnam 1,671 tons, Simexco Dak Lak 1,660 tons, Phuc Sinh 1,075 tons and Tran Chau 911 tons.

On the other hand, Vietnam imported 6,089 tons of pepper in June, including 5,629 tons of black pepper and 460 tons of white pepper, with a total turnover of 37.9 million USD. Compared to the previous month, the import volume decreased by 10.9% and the turnover decreased by 13.6%.

The largest importers included Olam Vietnam with 1,493 tons, Giay Spice Vietnam 520 tons, Nedspice Vietnam 423 tons, Tran Chau 378 tons and Simexco Dak Lak 299 tons. Imported pepper mainly came from Brazil with 3,463 tons and Cambodia with 1,777 tons.
