“The Song Connecting the Rivers”: A Song of Love in the Heart of Thanh Hoa

From the majestic Ma River to the melodious Hue folk songs, the program brought the audience deep emotions, connecting the lands with a deep bond of affection between artists and the public.

On the evening of July 8, Lam Son Theater (Hac Thanh Ward, Thanh Hoa Province) was filled with ethnic sounds on the opening night of the 2025 North Central Region Mass Art Festival "Songs Connecting Rivers".

The event was organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa in coordination with the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), attracting nearly 200 artists, artisans and non-professional actors from 4 provinces and cities in the North Central region from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue.

Amidst an artistic space imbued with traditional identity, elaborately staged and artistic performances took the audience on a journey to discover the vibrant heritage of the land by the rivers.

It is the resounding sound of the Ma River Ho, the simplicity, simplicity and depth of the Nghe An folk songs; the elegance and sophistication of Hue folk songs… All blend together in a colorful folk symphony, both rustic and artistic, imbued with love for the land and people.
