Hien Kiet Commune Police Officer Injured While Helping People Fight Storm No. 5

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - While helping the Working Group of Hien Kiet Commune to evacuate the property of people affected by storm No. 5 to a safe place, Lieutenant Le Ngoc Vu, a police officer of Hien Kiet Commune, was injured when suddenly hit by a landslide.

Hien Kiet Commune Police visited and gave gifts to households evacuated from landslide areas.

Due to the impact of storm No. 5, in Hien Kiet commune, Thanh Hoa province, there are many landslides near residential areas. To support people in evacuating people and property to safety, the commune police have deployed and assigned forces to participate in checkpoints at high-risk areas for flash floods and landslides in the area.

On the morning of August 26, while mobilizing and supporting the family of Mr. Vi Van Su in Ho village, Hien Kiet commune to evacuate, the slope next to the house suddenly collapsed. The working group stationed at Ho village coordinated with Hien Kiet Border Guard Station to quickly bring Mr. Su's family to safety. While evacuating people and property, the landslide hit Lieutenant Le Ngoc Vu and a soldier of Hien Kiet Border Guard Station. Comrade Vu was injured in the arm and leg.

Hearing the news that comrade Le Ngoc Vu was injured, many people in Hien Kiet commune visited the commune health station to thank the Hien Kiet commune police force for their support to the people in preventing and fighting storm No. 5 as well as protecting people's lives and property. This action of Hien Kiet commune police has left a beautiful image of the police officer in the hearts of the people.
