Strengthening coordination in primary school education

On the morning of August 27, the Department of Education and Training held a conference to summarize the 2024-2025 school year and deploy directions and tasks for the 2025-2026 school year at the primary level.

The province currently has 453 primary schools and 2 Centers for Supporting the Development of Inclusive Education with 273,299 students and 16,454 administrators, teachers and staff.

Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Vo Thi Minh Duyen spoke at the conference.

In the 2024-2026 school year, educational institutions have actively innovated teaching methods and techniques; many schools have proactively applied digital transformation, set up software, digital science warehouses for teaching and learning; applied artificial intelligence in teaching. 100% of primary education institutions implemented STEM education, organized STEM festivals.

Innovation in active teaching methods and techniques has created conditions for primary school students to promote their initiative and creativity. As a result, 93.3% of primary school students have access to STEM education, 98.3% of students have completed their studies or better. Mobilizing 6-year-old children to enter grade 1 reached a rate of 99.98%; 11-year-old children completing primary school reached a rate of 93.21%...

Deputy Head of the General Education Department (Department of Education and Training) of Krong Ai Huong Lan presented a plan to improve English teaching and learning in the 2025-2026 school year.

In the 2025-2026 school year, the Education sector will continue to advise all levels on recruiting teachers to organize 2 sessions/day; effectively implement the Vietnamese language enhancement program; improve the quality of foreign language teaching in schools, creating a premise for implementing the project to make English the second language in schools...

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Vo Thi Minh Duyen emphasized that the lower the level of education, the more important the role of the school and the coordination with families and society. The 2025-2026 school year is the first year to implement the 2-level local government model. In the new space, new motivation, new pressure, new requirements, new expectations have shown the proactiveness of the commune level in performing the task of state management of education. Schools need to be proactive and creative in organizing teaching and learning activities at school to promote advantages in terms of staff, facilities and suit the characteristics of students, gradually improving the quality of teaching and learning at the facility.
