After the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the 10th grade exam scores for 2025 , Hua Quynh Bao scored 9.25 points in Math, 10 points in English and 8.5 points in Literature; she scored 8.8 points in specialized English.
With a total score of 45.35/50 (3 general subjects plus specialized subject with coefficient 2), Quynh Bao is not only the valedictorian of the 10th grade English major exam of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, but also the valedictorian of the English major in the whole of Hanoi.
Previously, the female student was also the valedictorian of the 10th grade English major at the High School for the Gifted (under Hanoi National University of Education). Thus, in the 2025 admission season, Quynh Bao convincingly achieved the “triple” of being the valedictorian of the English major.

Not only that, the female student was also admitted to the English major scholarship program of the Foreign Language High School (under the University of Foreign Languages - VNU). In addition, she was also admitted to the Literature major class of the Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted and the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU).
Ms. Hoang Nhu Yen, Quynh Bao's mother, said that the family was very happy with this result but was also a little worried that her child would be under more pressure. "She has a solid grasp of grammar, but her listening and speaking skills may not be as outstanding as her classmates at private and international schools. Therefore, she still has to try very hard. I hope she will continue to be brave enough to take steady steps in the upcoming journey," Ms. Yen shared.
Quynh Bao has had a passion and talent for English since she was young, but the biggest turning point came after entering Cau Giay Secondary School. Inspired by the lessons and dedication of the teachers, her love for this subject grew day by day. "When I entered secondary school, with the encouragement and inspiration from my English teachers, I loved this subject even more. Since then, I have always tried to find ways to learn English well," Quynh Bao shared.
Since grade 7, Quynh Bao has affirmed her outstanding ability when she achieved the highest score in the school-level English competition for 3 consecutive years. In particular, in grade 9, she excellently won the first prize and was the valedictorian of the district-level and school-level excellent student competition when she continued to win the first prize in the city-level excellent student competition for English. These results not only reflect Quynh Bao's academic ability but also a journey of relentless efforts.
However, the female student said that her achievements were also thanks to the close support of her teachers - who silently inspired her, always believed in her and encouraged her. She also said that she felt lucky that her family was always a solid support, accompanying and giving her more motivation to continue on the path of learning.
Not only excellent in studying, Quynh Bao is also a modest, sociable student, actively participating in extracurricular activities.

Despite her outstanding achievements, her journey was not always “full of roses”. In 8th grade, she had a memorable experience when she decided to try her hand at the 9th grade excellent student exam at the school level. However, due to a careless mistake when taking the test, she ultimately failed to conquer this exam successfully.
“At that time, I regretted and cried a lot, but that failure was the motivation for me to be more determined in the following exams,” Bao said.
After the tears, Quynh Bao stood up strongly and made a breakthrough in her final year of high school. After that, she also learned from her experiences in the process of self-training. After each test, she spent time reviewing her mistakes, taking careful notes to avoid making them again. Before important exams, Quynh Bao always reminded herself to balance her rest and study time, keeping a relaxed spirit to be able to do the test most effectively.

Not only is Quynh Bao excellent in her studies, she is also a modest, sociable student, actively participates in extracurricular activities and is always a shining example in class. As the Deputy class monitor, Bao's maturity, progress and optimism have strongly inspired her classmates.
Quynh Bao said that she decided to study English at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted because this is the school she had set her goal for many years ago. In the more distant future, Quynh Bao hopes to continue pursuing English and learning another language, opening the door to knowledge to develop herself and conquer new heights.
