After gaining exclusive protection rights in 27 countries in the European Union (EU), the Vietnamese animation brand "Wolfoo" will officially bring its latest movie "Wolfoo and the Three Realms Race" to domestic theaters on July 11, 2025.
"Wolfoo and the Three Realms Race" is a 2D animated action, adventure, and comedy film produced by Sconnect Studio. This is also the unit that produced the film "Wolfoo and the Mysterious Island" (2023), opening a new turning point for Vietnamese animation as the first commercial animated film to boldly enter the theater. This film achieved very positive results when it entered the Top 3 box office revenue in the first week of its release in Vietnam.
Sconnect (Sconnect Studio) is known as the pioneer unit "planting the flag" of Vietnam on the international animation map. The first mark must be mentioned with the animated series "Wolfoo" released in 2014. After 9 years of development, the series produced by the Vietnamese team has a channel system on Youtube attracting an estimated 2 billion views per month. In particular, before the release of this film, the Vietnamese animated film with the main character Wolfoo - an animated brand owned by Sconnect Group, was officially protected exclusively in 27 EU countries. The sponsorship and support from intellectual property protection agencies is an important premise to help Wolfoo become stronger and more explosive in this comeback film project.
Sharing about the return of Wolfoo "made in Vietnam" on the big screen, the production team said that the film will bring a more powerful story and an impressive cinematic experience to meet the entertainment needs of the audience. Besides the wolf character Wolfoo, there will be many other characters with unique appearances and personalities.
"We hope that Wolfoo is not only an "idol of the... weaning world" who has been conquering the hearts of millions of children through popular series on YouTube, but also a cartoon character symbolizing 100% creativity from the Vietnamese team, with enough power to compete with world animation" - said a representative of Sconnect Studio.
In the official trailer of "Wolfoo and the Three Realms Race", in addition to the main characters' appearances and the "Three Realms" setting that will appear in the film, the producer also revealed some important details that begin the adventure in the fantasy world of Wolfoo. The story in the film is revealed not only about Wolfoo's adventure when participating in the "Three Realms-shaking" car race, but also depicts the conflict between two generations: the quiet father Wulfen and the hyperactive son Wolfoo.
Sconnect Studio representative said that the films were created by a young team, under the guidance of experienced Vietnamese animation experts, the 9x director and screenwriter have brought an interesting, modern and international quality animation world. Although adding some dramatic details, the crew still aims to bring a light spiritual dish witheducational lessons about life, friends and family.
