  • More worries about the rainy season

On the morning of September 3, Mr. Hoang Van Cuong, Executive Director of Hoa Binh 1 Wind Power Plant (Vinh Hau Commune) said that the unit has proactively stopped receiving visitors in bad weather conditions. Specifically, we do not take visitors to visit the offshore turbine tower when the wind speed is level 5 or higher (equivalent to 10 - 12m/s).

“At the same time, if it rains with thunder and lightning, sightseeing activities by electric car and boating in the forest will also be temporarily suspended to ensure absolute safety for visitors ,” said Mr. Cuong.

In Hung Hoi commune, the local government has also drastically implemented safety work at the spiritual tourist destination of Hung Thien pagoda. Mr. Tu Minh Phuc, Secretary of the commune Party Committee, informed: “The Party Committee has directed the commune police to check the number of boats transporting tourists on the river to the pagoda; strictly check the operating conditions, especially the provision of life jackets on the vehicles. In particular, we require boat owners to absolutely not operate when there is heavy rain, and at the same time organize ropes and place warning signs at landslides that have eaten deep into the shore.”

Authorities placed warning signs at the landslide area on the road leading to Hung Thien Pagoda.

Previously, strictly implementing Directive No. 11 dated April 21, 2025 of the Prime Minister on strengthening measures to ensure safety and security for tourists, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province issued a document requesting relevant units to develop specific response plans.

It emphasizes the absolute prohibition of using unregistered, uninspected or unsafe vehicles to transport passengers; at the same time, it enhances the responsibility of management and supervision to prevent risks for tourists, especially in tourism products with adventurous elements or potential risks to life and health.

Ca Mau Tourism proactively deploys plans and measures to ensure security and safety for tourists.

In addition to direct solutions at the destination, many other support activities were also implemented synchronously. For example, the authorities organized tree trimming in the inner city of Bac Lieu ward - where many tourist attractions are concentrated - to prevent tree collapse during storms. These actions not only demonstrate a sense of responsibility but also contribute to strengthening trust and creating an image of Ca Mau as a safe and friendly destination in the hearts of tourists.
