At the exhibition of 80 years of national achievements, held on August 28, at the National Exhibition Center, artist Mai Van Nhon (member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and the Dong Nai Province Literature and Arts Association) participated with works depicting portraits of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, the late musician Trinh Cong Son, poet Bui Giang, stage artist Thanh Nga, and reformed opera artist Phung Ha...

Artist Mai Van Nhon said he was extremely happy and proud to introduce the above ceramic mosaics at the important event celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2. This is not only a personal joy but also a responsibility and a valuable opportunity to bring Dong Nai ceramics, a unique cultural heritage, to the contemporary art scene through ceramic mosaics.

Previously, the works of Painter Mai Van Nhon were displayed at many exhibitions, including a solo exhibition at the Vietnam National Museum of Fine Arts in 2017 and a group exhibition with Vietnamese and French artists at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts in 2018. His paintings were selected by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association to be regularly exhibited at the Southeast Regional Fine Arts Exhibitions from 1998 to present.

In 2010, he participated in making a 50m long ceramic mosaic (ceramic mosaic) on the Red River Ceramic Road (a project recognized by Guinness World Records as the longest ceramic mosaic in the world).
In 2017, he made a ceramic mosaic painting set of 21 portraits of APEC leaders as a national gift. This painting set was given directly to the heads of state at that time such as US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Chinese President Xi Jinping, South Korean President Moon Jae-In, etc.
