Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy invited a leading Indian economic group to research and survey investment in Nghe An.

During a working trip to New Delhi, India, Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province worked with representatives of Adani Group.

Mr. Ashok Wadhawan - CEO of Adani PLR Co, representative of Adani Group received and worked with the delegation. Attending the meeting was Mr. Nikhil Kanodia - President of North, Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Nghe An provincial leaders participating in the working delegation included comrade Pham Trong Hoang - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, along with leaders of many departments, branches and localities.

Adani is one of the largest economic groups in India operating in the fields of seaports, transportation, logistics, energy, digital technology, cement production, mining... in more than 50 countries around the world, with a capitalization value of about 200 billion USD.

In the field of port investment alone, Adani is among the top 5 fastest growing companies in the world and is the leading enterprise in India in developing, operating ports and integrated logistics systems, accounting for 25% of India's port capacity.

At the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy informed about the situation, characteristics, investment and business environment of Nghe An and the sectors and fields in which the province is calling for investment.

In particular, it is known that Adani Group is currently very interested and committed to long-term investment in Vietnam with a total investment capital of about 10 billion USD, not only in the fields of seaports and logistics, but also in the fields of energy and digital technology.

In particular, Adani wants to build a green seaport ecosystem and invest in wind power and solar power plants in Vietnam, with a total capital of about 3 billion USD, in line with Vietnam's development strategy.

The investment objectives of Adani Group are in line with Nghe An's investment development orientation. Therefore, through Mr. Ashok Wadhawan, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy invited the Group's leaders and companies in Adani's ecosystem to research and invest in Nghe An, especially in the fields of seaports, logistics, renewable energy, etc. in the process of concretizing the investment strategy in Vietnam. These are all areas in which Nghe An has advantages and is calling for investment.

Mr. Ashok Wadhawan - CEO of Adani PLR Co, representative of Adani Group expressed his pleasure to welcome the high-ranking delegation of Nghe An province to visit and work; at the same time, he provided general information about the Group's ecosystem.

After hearing about the information and potential of Nghe An province and the areas that the province is interested in attracting investment, Mr. Ashok Wadhawan said that he will inform and discuss with the Group to research and consider investing in Nghe An in its business strategy in Vietnam.
