On the morning of July 4, in Hanoi , the People's Army Newspaper (QĐND) held a meeting to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the publication of the QĐND Weekend Newspaper (July 7, 1990 / July 7, 2025) and received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for its outstanding achievements and contributions to the cause of strengthening national defense, security and protecting the Fatherland.
Major General Doan Xuan Bo , Party Secretary and Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper chaired the meeting.

The Weekend QĐND Newspaper is one of the publications of the People's Army Newspaper, launched on July 7, 1990 with the original name of Saturday QĐND Newspaper. According to Major General Doan Xuan Bo, along with the development of the country and revolutionary press, the People's Army Newspaper is actively and making efforts to implement the Project to build the People's Army Newspaper into a key, multimedia media agency by 2030, with a vision to 2045. The Project has been approved by the Minister of National Defense.
Major General Doan Xuan Bo emphasized that, with increasingly high mission requirements, the People's Army Newspaper hopes to continue receiving attention, monitoring and support from leaders, generations of cadres, reporters and editors of the People's Army Weekend Newspaper over the years; from close collaborators as well as sister units, agencies inside and outside the Army.
