Phuong My Chi and Kha Lau mashuped "Drunkenness" and "Six Seas and the King", scoring 190.6 points from the judges and ranked 3rd to advance to the second semi-final.
According to the program's rules, the semi-finals 2 of Sing! Asia 2025 will air on July 18, selecting the 5 best contestants to compete in the finals.
After the semi-finals, Phuong My Chi and Kha Lau's performances became a hit on all platforms. In Vietnam, the two young stars' performances went viral and were well-received by the audience.
In addition to Phuong My Chi, her Chinese co-star Kha Lau is also of interest to the Vietnamese public. On social networks, information and videos related to Kha Lau are widely shared.
Kha Lau was born in 2002. Before joining Sing! Asia 2025, the young singer made a splash when participating in The Voice of China 2023. She made her mark with a musical style that combines modern elements and folk materials.
Currently, Kha Lau is still a new face in the Chinese entertainment industry. She is young, has little experience and has limited performance frequency on big stages. However, Kha Lau has determination, confidence, good technique and diverse performance ability.
Sing! Asia 2025 marked Kha Lau's gradual growth. From a shy and timid contestant in the first days of the competition, the singer born in 2002 has become more and more stable, clearly making a breakthrough and winning the right to enter the semi-finals.
Similar to Phuong My Chi, Kha Lau loves traditional culture. She knows how to take advantage of her vocal strengths, combining opera and Kunqu in her performance, creating a highlight for the overall song.
Participating in Sing! Asia 2025, Kha Lau showed her difference from other artists. She did not have a dedicated support team but prepared everything herself, participated in the competition alone, and competed against potential artists. Despite the difficulties, Kha Lau remained steadfast in her goal of spreading traditional culture through music.
