Mr. Tinh is from Dinh Hoa commune. Since childhood, he has nurtured the dream of becoming a border guard soldier. After graduating from high school, in 2018, he studied law at Can Tho University. However, the sacred call of the border urged him to give up the lecture hall, determined to take the entrance exam and was admitted to the Border Guard Academy in 2020. After 4 years of studying and training, Tinh graduated with good grades and was promoted to the rank of lieutenant, working in the province until now.
As a young party member, Lieutenant Danh Gia Tinh always clearly identifies the role and responsibility of a soldier and party member in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Tinh shared: "I learn from Uncle Ho from the simplest things, living modestly, honestly, friendly, always helping teammates and wholeheartedly serving the people. To create trust with the people, first of all, one must be responsible in work, prestigious in words and actions".

From those thoughts, when taking on the task at Phu My Border Guard Station, Lieutenant Tinh always upheld the spirit of responsibility, wholeheartedly serving the people, contributing to beautifying the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers". He was always exemplary, taking the lead in mass mobilization work, close to the people, and firmly grasping the area. In recent times, he has proactively advised the Party Committee and the station command to deploy many new and creative models and methods to promote economic development in ethnic minority areas. Notable programs and models include "Helping children go to school", "Adopted children of the border guard station", "Rice jars of love", building rural roads and many activities aimed at the poor in border areas.
Not only going down to each hamlet and village to propagate the law, Lieutenant Tinh also closely coordinated with local mass organizations, monks in pagodas, and prestigious people among the Khmer people to mobilize people to actively prevent and combat illegal entry and exit, smuggling, and social evils. Thanks to his perseverance and close attention, he helped people understand the Party's policies and the State's laws, raise awareness of self-compliance, and build a civilized and safe lifestyle in the border area. Lieutenant Danh Gia Tinh confided: "Working in the border area, I consider it a great honor and responsibility. I always remind myself to devote all my youth and all my heart to the people, contributing to bringing a peaceful and prosperous life to the people."

Being a Khmer, fluent in the local language and knowledgeable about local customs, Lieutenant Tinh easily creates closeness and trust among the people. The image of a young border guard riding a motorbike through each road in the hamlets to propagate, instruct production techniques, teach children to read and write... has become familiar and dear to the community. Every time they see him, the people warmly welcome him, love him, and consider him as a family member.
Lieutenant Colonel Danh Kim Huol, Political Commissar of Phu My Border Guard Station commented: “Not only is Comrade Tinh good at professional work, he is also active in social activities and is the center of solidarity in the unit. Comrade Tinh always achieves high results in mass mobilization work. Whenever there is a need among the people, Comrade Tinh volunteers to participate.”
After less than 1 year of working in the border area, Lieutenant Danh Gia Tinh was awarded a certificate of merit by the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command of An Giang province for his outstanding achievements in the peak emulation campaign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.
