Start new project
On August 28, the social housing project in Hoa Hiep 4 resettlement area (located at land plots B4-1, B4-2, Me Linh street, in Hai Van ward and Lien Chieu ward), commercial name Ecohome Hoa Hiep, with a total investment of more than 2,125 billion VND, was started.
The groundbreaking ceremony of Ecohome Hoa Hiep project is an important event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day September 2; towards welcoming the 23rd Congress of Da Nang City Party Committee.
Hoa Hiep 4 resettlement area has an area of about 4.2 hectares, including 3 buildings, with a scale of 1,476 social housing apartments. The project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2029. The goal is to bring a comfortable living space, a green, clean environment with reasonable prices, creating conditions for workers in Da Nang city to access.
It is known that in addition to the social housing section, the project will also arrange for commercial housing to be sold at market prices to offset costs, thereby contributing to reducing selling prices, rental prices and management and operation costs of social housing.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh said that from now until 2030, Da Nang must build nearly 29,000 units, which is a relatively large number. In 2025 alone, the city will register about 2,600 units.
Da Nang is one of the major economic and social centers of the country. After the reorganization of administrative units and the merger with the former Quang Nam province, the demand for housing for people is very large, especially housing for low-income people.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ha Nam, Director of the City Department of Construction, Da Nang is in a period of strong development, rapid urbanization, and increasing housing demand for workers, laborers and low-income people. According to the Government's target, in the period of 2025-2030, Da Nang city after the merger needs to complete nearly 29,000 social housing apartments. This is a big but also very humane task, demonstrating the concern of the Party, State and city government for people's lives.
Promote investment in social housing
Recently, the Department of Construction has announced the sale of social housing in blocks A and B of the An Trung 2 low-income apartment project (An Hai Nam ward, Son Tra). The project has a total of 633 apartments allowed to be sold on the market, block A has 288 apartments and block B has 345 apartments. The project has a scale of 3 apartment blocks with a total of 957 apartments. Block A has 18 floors, block B has 15 floors and block C has 12 floors.
Previously, in February 2025, the Department of Construction also announced the sale of 250 apartments at the social housing apartment project on lot B4-1, in the Green Urban Area Bau Tram Lakeside. Along with that, the city has completed the social housing apartment project for people with revolutionary contributions on Vu Mong Nguyen Street (Ngu Hanh Son Ward) with 209 apartments put into use, and when phase 2 is completed, there will be 191 more apartments. In addition, there is also a social housing project and trade union institution in Lien Chieu with about 730 apartments...
In addition to thousands of social housing units from public investment capital, Da Nang will also have thousands of units invested from private capital. Specifically, the social housing apartment project at lot B4-1, B4-2 of Bau Tram Lakeside Green Urban Area with 2,736 apartments has been completed and put into use. At the same time, there is also an apartment project for low-income people at Dai Dia Bao Resettlement Area - Block C.
In addition, there are projects such as the social housing project at apartment land plot No. 3 in area B - Nam Cau Cam Le residential area and the social housing project at apartment land plot No. 5 in area B - Nam Cau Cam Le residential area (1,955 apartments) are also urgently completing the bidding evaluation documents, submitting to the Department of Finance for appraisal of the results of investor selection and striving to start the project in December 2025...
In addition, there are other social housing projects at land lot No. 10 Trinh Cong Son (649 apartments) that are currently selecting investors. The social housing project at land lot A1-7 Chu Huy Man street; the project at land lot A2-4 on the road leading to Tien Son bridge, and Ngu Hanh Son street, Ngu Hanh Son ward; the project at land lot Hoa Minh apartment complex; the project at land lot B3 in Area E (phase 1) - Residential area Nam Cam Le bridge is also being proposed by the Department of Construction to prioritize the appraisal of documents requesting approval of investment policies for projects...
With many projects already underway, the city will meet the social housing target in 2025, according to the target assigned by the Prime Minister.
