In the first 6 months of 2025, the Party Committee and the Military Region 2 Command directed agencies and units to coordinate and effectively implement Decree No. 03/2019/ND-CP of the Government on coordination between the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security in performing the tasks of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, fighting and preventing crimes and national defense tasks. Agencies and units under Military Region 2 also advised and proposed to local Party committees and authorities many policies and solutions to effectively handle situations right from the grassroots level, contributing to maintaining political security and stability, creating conditions for socio-economic development.

Some other outstanding results are that Military Region 2 mobilized nearly 5,000 officers, soldiers and militiamen, 31 vehicles of all kinds to participate in rescue and overcoming the consequences of 84 natural disasters, fires and accidents. Units of Military Region 2 also eliminated 30,308/49,980 temporary and dilapidated houses and participated in the construction of the 500kV power transmission line 3 Vinh Yen - Lao Cai ; deployed the construction of 295 "policy houses" to help the subjects.

Units and localities completed 100% of the 2025 military recruitment targets. Preparation and training of the subjects were strictly and seriously ensured; 100% of the test results met the requirements, of which 83.3% were good and excellent; participation in competitions and sports events achieved high results. Logistics-technical, economic-defense, and financial work was comprehensively implemented, achieving positive results, improving the quality of soldiers' lives...

Officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Military Region 2 participated in fighting a forest fire at Ngang Mountain, Dao Tru Commune, Tam Dao District, Vinh Phuc Province (now Dao Tru Commune, Phu Tho Province) in April 2025.

Concluding the conference, Major General Tran Van Bac requested agencies and units under Military Region 2 to continue to strictly maintain combat readiness at all levels; coordinate with forces to effectively implement Decree 03/2019/ND-CP; ensure security and safety for major holidays and important political events, focusing on the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; promote the "Digital Education for All" movement; and make breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation.

The Commander of Military Region 2 reminded units to stay close to the area, be ready to handle natural disasters, rescue and relief situations; organize training and exercises closely, according to plan, ensuring safety and substance. Continue to review and supplement functions and tasks for local military organizations, commune-level Military Commands after merging, reorganizing and effectively implementing military and defense tasks. At the same time, coordinate with provincial Party Committees to direct the organization of local military agency party congresses; prepare and successfully organize the 10th Military Region 2 Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Earlier, on the same morning, under the chairmanship of Lieutenant General Pham Duc Duyen, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 2, the Party Committee of Military Region 2 held a Conference to issue a Resolution on leadership in implementing military and defense tasks and Party building in the last 6 months of 2025. Delegates focused on analyzing the advantages and difficulties affecting the results of completing the tasks and proposed measures to lead and direct the successful implementation of the tasks.
