Both schools are public generaleducation institutions in the national education system and the general school system of Hanoi city; have legal status, their own seals, and open accounts at the State Treasury and commercial banks according to regulations.

The school is organized and operates according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training for high schools; under the direct direction and management of the Department of Education and Training and relevant agencies of the city.

The career establishment of schools is determined according to Circular No. 20/2023/TT-BGDDT, within the total career establishment of the Department of Education and Training.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Phuc Thinh High School will be assigned 42 civil servants; Do Muoi High School will be assigned 35 civil servants.

In addition, each school is given 5 additional contract labor quotas according to Decree 111/2022/ND-CP for security and service work.

Previously, in June 2025, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that in the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi will have 3 more high schools put into operation, qualified for enrollment.

This means that the rate of Hanoi students entering public grade 10 in 2025 will increase by about 3% compared to the 2024-2025 school year, reaching 64% of the number of students graduating from junior high school.
