On September 3, Cho Ray Hospital (HCMC) informed about the emergency and medical examination and treatment situation during the holiday from August 30 to September 2.
Accordingly, during the 4-day holiday, Cho Ray Hospital received 1,082 emergency cases, an average of 271 cases/day, of which 495 were surgical cases.
The total number of traffic accident cases hospitalized was 182, transferred from other hospitals or patients came proactively. Notably, 125/182 traffic accident cases suffered traumatic brain injury.
In addition, the hospital received 42 cases of domestic accidents, 15 cases of fighting injuries, and 17 cases of poisoning.
During the holiday, Cho Ray Hospital performed 161 emergency surgeries, using 387 units of 350ml blood. As of this morning, September 3, the hospital still had 1,783 inpatients and stored 4,462 units of blood.
Compared to the 2024 holiday, the number of emergency patients admitted to Cho Ray Hospital was at the same level. The number of surgical patients and the amount of blood used both decreased compared to the same period last year.
