Strengthening security and order during Independence Day

This year's 4-day National Day holiday on September 2nd saw many important events and activities taking place across the country to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the country's Independence Day, with the participation of a large number of people, forces and international tourists. To ensure that every citizen and every household can fully enjoy the great holiday, the work of ensuring security, order, traffic safety and social order is being strengthened by localities, relevant agencies and units.

Every year on the occasion of the September 2nd holiday, the demand for travel, visiting relatives, tourism , trading, and participating in activities, events, and programs of the people increases dramatically. Therefore, this occasion always has the potential for complicated risks regarding security, order, social safety, criminal offenses, social evils, traffic safety, fire safety, etc. In particular, this year the Party, State, and Government organize the Grand Ceremony to celebrate, parade, and march 80 years of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2nd at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi, so the number of people and vehicles traveling to the capital will certainly increase dramatically.

To serve the people to have a joyful, safe and healthy National Day holiday and attend national events, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh issued Official Dispatch No. 139/CD-TTg dated August 21, 2025 requesting ministries, branches and localities to strengthen the work of ensuring security and order on the occasion of National Day September 2. In particular, ministries, branches and localities nationwide are required to, based on their assigned functions and tasks, grasp the situation, proactively prevent and have plans to respond to and resolve complicated situations that arise, not to be passive, sudden or unexpected; organize forces and means to be on duty regularly, especially at the grassroots level, to ensure security and safety of key targets, projects, important events of the country, activities of Party and State leaders, international delegations, entertainment activities, travel, health, and property of people and businesses in the area and management fields.

Traffic Police of Quang Ninh Province mobilized to ensure traffic safety and order on the occasion of National Day, September 2.

The police force concentrates forces, means, and measures to ensure social order and safety, attacks and resolutely suppresses all types of crimes and law violations, and vigorously sweeps away social evils that often occur during festivals and at crowded places, such as: gambling, theft, robbery, extortion, illegal use of drugs, illegal racing, disturbing public order, etc. to ensure a peaceful and happy life for the people. Along with that, strengthen propaganda, guidance, and rectification of compliance with regulations on fire prevention and fighting safety, arrange forces and means to promptly organize fire fighting, rescue, and relief when fire and explosion incidents occur, minimizing damage to people and property; organize reasonable traffic flow, early and from afar, especially at crowded places, where events take place, etc.

Implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, together with provinces and cities across the country, Quang Ninh has launched a peak campaign to ensure security, order, and traffic safety to serve the occasion of National Day September 2 and major national holidays. The functional forces of the province have focused on suppressing all types of criminal, drug, gambling, economic, environmental crimes, and violations related to conditional business lines; proactively preventing, having response plans, and resolving complicated situations that arise, avoiding being passive, sudden, or unexpected; organizing forces and means to be on duty regularly, especially at the grassroots level, ensuring security and safety of key targets, projects, and important events of the country, activities of Party and State leaders, and international delegations; entertainment activities, travel, and protecting people's health and property.

In particular, determining that the task of ensuring traffic safety is especially important, the traffic police force of Quang Ninh Provincial Police resolutely handles groups of violations that are the main causes of traffic accidents such as: Drivers with drugs in their bodies; violating alcohol concentration, speeding; driving in the wrong lane; stopping and parking in the wrong place; carrying more people than prescribed; picking up and dropping off passengers in the wrong place; preventing and strictly handling cases of illegal racing and resisting law enforcement officers.

We believe that with the drastic participation of functional forces, especially the police force, security and order, traffic safety, and fire prevention and fighting will be ensured, thereby serving the people to fully enjoy the country's Independence Day.
