The book consists of 5 chapters about the tradition of patriotism and solidarity against foreign invaders, the movement of people to fight for power (1930 - 1945) of Hoi An people; the birth, solidarity, and gathering of forces of the Viet Minh Committee of Hoi An to participate in building a revolutionary government and resisting the French colonialists (1945 - 1954); the National Liberation Front of Hoi An in the resistance war against the US, saving the country (1954 - 1975); the Fatherland Front of Hoi An town during the period of national unification, together with the whole country transitioning to socialism (1975 - 1986); the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hoi An city during the period of implementing the policy of renovation and international integration (1986 - 2020).
The book is a valuable document contributingto the education of historical and revolutionary traditions; honoring the great contributions of the people, ethnic groups, religious compatriots... associated with the process of birth, operation and development of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the city through historical periods. At the same time, it provides some valuable lessons on the work of mobilizing, gathering the masses, promoting the strength of great national unity in the cause of building and developing Hoi An City.
