Vinh Hai: Potential for connecting regional tourism

Vinh Hai commune has a total natural area of over 16,143 hectares, bordering Nam Cam Ranh commune to the north, the East Sea to the east and south, and Ninh Hai commune to the west. The locality possesses a rich ecosystem with pristine features, a temperate climate, beautiful landscapes, and many attractive tourist attractions such as: Grape garden, Hang Rai, Vinh Hy bay, Lo O stream...; with Nui Chua National Park belonging to the World Biosphere Reserve and natural coral reefs. The geographical location of the commune is considered a "golden bridge" between famous tourist centers of Khanh Hoa and the entire South Central Coast region.

In addition, the journey to explore the seabed by glass-bottom boat in Vinh Hy Bay, watching the colorful coral and rich marine ecosystem will create unforgettable memories for visitors. Adventure sports such as kite surfing at My Hoa beach or trekking through the forest at Nui Chua National Park also attract dynamic young people who love to conquer wild nature. Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hanh - a tourist from Hanoi shared: "I have traveled to many places, but coming to Vinh Hai brings a very different feeling. In order to attract tourists , in recent times, tourism businesses in the commune have actively prepared conditions for facilities and tourism infrastructure to improve service quality. Thereby, service quality has been significantly improved, the number of hotels, motels, accommodation establishments, and homestays has increased significantly. Up to now, the commune has more than 20 dining establishments, 31 accommodation establishments, especially high-class resorts such as Amanoi, Vinh Hy ... well meeting the needs of tourists for sightseeing and relaxation. According to statistics from local authorities, each year, Vinh Hai commune welcomes hundreds of thousands of domestic and foreign visitors, of which Vinh Hy area alone accounts for more than 60% of total visitors. This shows the strong attraction and increasingly important role of Vinh Hy Bay as a tourist center in the overall development picture of Vinh Hai commune.

Leverage for regional tourism development

With its own advantages, Vinh Hai is positioned as an important regional connection point between famous tourist destinations such as Nha Trang, Cam Ranh, Bai Dai... This connection not only helps diversify tourism products but also creates favorable conditions for the development of inter-regional tourism routes, thereby increasing the socio-economic value in the province. Mr. Lee Jung Ho - a Korean tourist shared: "Vinh Hy Bay is like a surprise gift. I got to see coral by glass-bottom boat, go diving, enjoy fresh seafood, all very special. I think this place has great potential if it is properly connected with other points in the tour itinerary".

Mr. Phan Tan Canh - Secretary of Vinh Hai Commune Party Committee said: “The whole Vinh Hai commune owns a diverse ecosystem: sea, mountains, vineyards, rich flora and fauna. Vinh Hy alone has all the elements to become a high-class tourist destination. If Vinh Hai is chosen as a regional connection point, we believe that the socio-economic efficiency will be very obvious: increasing income, creating jobs, developing the community”.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism commented: “Developing Vinh Hai into a regional connection point is a reasonable direction, because this place has nature, services and space for expansion. Moreover, Vinh Hy has a special location, which can connect the Nha Trang - Cam Ranh - Vinh Hai - Ninh Chu tourism axis. If well planned, Vinh Hai can completely become a "strategic stopover" in the journey to explore Khanh Hoa. In the coming time, the department will focus on coordinating with relevant agencies to upgrade infrastructure, call for investment in high-class resorts and organize more cultural and tourism activities here".

Vinh Hai Commune is gradually asserting its position on the national tourism map. With its pristine natural beauty, unique fishing village culture, combined with experiential activities and adventure sports, in the near future Vinh Hai will not only be a destination, but also a bridge connecting regional tourism, contributing to making Khanh Hoa become the leading sea tourism center in Vietnam.
