The Minister also pledged that "the Ministry of Science and Technology will accompany the agricultural and rural development sector in all areas, especially the application of science and technology in agricultural production". Most recently, the two ministries coordinated to implement the Project on Sustainable Development of 1 million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta by 2030.

The Ministry of Science and Technology recently reviewed and submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration the list of national products by 2030, in which, in addition to the national products of the previous period, there are also 6/10 new national products in the fields of agriculture and rural development.
