From June 27 to July 6, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, the World Police and Fire Games (WPFG 2025) will take place. This is one of the largest international sporting events for law enforcement, attracting more than 8,500 athletes from over 70 countries, competing in more than 60 events.
The Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Delegation attending the congress included 42 coaches and athletes from units under the Ministry of Public Security and local Public Security, competing in many disciplines such as martial arts, athletics, swimming, shooting, karate, boxing... and specialized professional contents such as fire prevention and fighting and rescue (PCCC & CHCN). The delegation was led by Colonel Nguyen Thi Thuy Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Work, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association.

Corporal Le Kien showed impressive performance in the Jujitsu category under 62kg and won both events. He excellently won the Gold medal in the GI event (competing with traditional martial arts uniform) and continued to win another Gold medal in the No GI event (competing without martial arts uniform).


Participating in the competition of the Vietnam People's Public Security Delegation, comrade Nguyen Phuong Anh, born in 1989, an officer of the Political Affairs Department, Lang Son Provincial Police, also had an excellent performance in the Boxing category, 63.5 kg weight class and competed in the final match taking place at 6:00 pm on July 3 (local time in the United States), or 6:00 am on July 4 (Vietnam time).

Facing a strong opponent from the host country, the United States, comrade Nguyen Phuong Anh competed with determination and courage, demonstrating outstanding techniques. At the end of the match, she won the Gold Medal, bringing outstanding achievements to the delegation and marking the mark of the Lang Son Provincial Police force in the international arena.

Participation in the 2025 World Police and Firefighter Games is an important opportunity for the Vietnamese Public Security Forces to exchange, learn, and share professional experiences, while promoting the image of the People's Public Security Forces as brave, disciplined, elite, and modern; contributes to strengthening international cooperation in the fields of sports and law enforcement.
