Thailand U23 is preparing to enter the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 tournament, taking place from mid to late July. After that, the young team from the Land of the Golden Temple will participate in the 2026 Asian U23 qualifiers in September.
Madam Pang and FAT do not want the Thai U23 team to decline further in the two upcoming official tournaments.

According to Thai media, the person preparing to replace coach Takayuki Nishigaya will be domestic expert Thawatchai Damrong-Ongtrakul. This is the person who led Dong Nai football club in the first division of Vietnamese football in 2006.
In recent years, the U23 Thailand team has not had good results. They have not won the SEA Games since 2017, and have not won the U23 Southeast Asian Championship since 2022.
