In the end, the girls in red scored 6 goals thanks to goals from Hai Yen, Thuy Hang, Tran Thi Duyen, Bich Thuy (double) and Thai Thi Thao.
Despite getting 3 full points, after the match, coach Mai Duc Chung still expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of some players.
“The whole team achieved the goal set before the match, which was 3 full points, the young players got to practice and gain experience, and no one got injured or received a card.
However, some positions are still not very good, especially young players who need more practice," coach Mai Duc Chung shared.
After two matches, the Vietnamese women's team is ranked 2nd in Group D with 6 points and a goal difference of +7. Japan also has 6 points but their goal difference is +16.
According to the schedule, on September 28, Bich Thuy and her teammates will compete with the Japanese women's team to compete for the top spot in the group.
The group winner will advance. The second-placed team must compete with the other second-placed teams to secure three spots in the quarter-finals.
