Double valedictorian of block A01, D01 only practiced 1 week before the exam

Specifically, Viet Hung scored 10 in Math and Physics, 9.75 in English, and 9.25 in Literature. Calculating the total score in block A01 (Math, Physics, English), the male student scored 29.75 points and 29 points in block D01 (Math, Literature, English). Viet Hung's scores were both higher than the scores of the top students of these two blocks last year.

Last year, the valedictorian of group A01 was Nguyen Hao Thien, a 12th grader at Le Thanh Tong Primary - Secondary - High School, Ho Chi Minh City, with a total score of 29.6. And group D01 was Nguyen Phuong Linh, a student at Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted, with a total score of 28.75.

Besides studying at school, Viet Hung does not study Math but practices on his own. For Physics, about a week before the exam, the 10X starts practicing. As for English, which is his major subject, and he already has an IELTS score of 8.0, Hung hardly studies any more.

The humble male student said that he doesn't study too much, nor does he have a fixed number of hours to spend a day, his study schedule is quite flexible.

Viet Hung assessed the high school graduation exam as being within his ability. For Literature, the 10X student understood that this was not his strong subject, so he tried to write concise analysis and evidence in the IELTS writing format, instead of trying to use flowery words. For Math, the male student found the exam not as difficult as previous years, but a bit long.

English was also a surprising subject, when Hung thought the graduation exam "could be easier". However, with experience studying and taking the IELTS test, the 10x passed easily.

The male student from Hanoi plans to use the A01 combination to apply for admission to the IT1 (Computer Science ) major at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Among the national valedictorians taking the 2025 high school graduation exam, there are 3 candidates from Hanoi . This is the locality with the most valedictorians in the country.
In addition to Nguyen Viet Hung, the double valedictorian of block A01 and D01, the valedictorian of block A00 belongs to candidate Nguyen Duy Phong, a student of Chuong My A High School, and Nguyen Tu Quyet, a student of Nguyen Gia Thieu High School, with a total score of 30/30 in Math, Physics, and Chemistry.
Hanoi is also the locality with the largest number of candidates taking the high school graduation exam in the country with about 126,000 candidates, an increase of about 15,000 students compared to 2024.
