Thanking the Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism for his welcome, Film Producer Rahul Bali expressed his impression of Vietnam's beautiful nature, majestic landscapes, friendly people, unique culture and extremely attractive cuisine. Along with that, favorable policies on visas, air routes, and stable security and political situation are also factors that make Indian tourists choose Vietnam as their top favorite destination. The proof is that in 2024, Vietnam welcomed more than 501,000 Indian visitors, nearly three times higher than in 2019. However, this is still a modest number compared to Vietnam's tourism potential.

Sharing about the film “Love in Vietnam”, Film Producer Rahul Bali said that the film project has a budget of about 4 million USD, will start filming from September 2024 in Central and Southern Vietnam, announced at the Cannes Film Festival 2024, officially screened at the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF 2025) in early July and is expected to premiere in both Vietnam and India this summer. The film brings together actors from the two countries' film industries. The film is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in more than 1,000 cinemas in India, reaching about 8 million viewers.

In particular, Indian audiences tend to want to visit the locations that have appeared on screen, where their idols have filmed. Therefore, with its unique landscape and rich cultural heritage, Vietnam has the potential to welcome a strong "wave" of Indian tourists, and has the opportunity to become a top destination for Indian tourists in the coming years.

In order for Vietnamese tourism to truly spread widely to the Indian people, Mr. Rahul Bali suggested that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism coordinate to organize tourism promotion activities along with the film, including creating a trailer of about 40 seconds to introduce the potential and beauty of Vietnam. The video will be shown before each film to bring the image of the country, people, culture and tourist destinations of Vietnam closer and more directly to the Indian public.

Mr. Rahul Bali also proposed to expand the scale of the Namaste Vietnam Festival (Hello Vietnam), inviting Indian filmmakers, artists, directors, businesses, and companies to join in researching and choosing film settings. At the same time, he hoped that Vietnamese localities and businesses would join in making the Festival more successful.

Acknowledging and appreciating Mr. Rahul Bali's practical suggestions on the idea of promoting Vietnamese tourism with the film "Love in Vietnam", the Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism said, This will be a good opportunity to widely spread the beauty and brand of Vietnamese tourism to Indian friends in particular and to the international community in general through cinema, especially in the context that Vietnam is promoting tourism promotion activities in India.

The leaders of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration asked him to provide detailed information on the plan to organize and implement these promotional activities, on that basis the two sides will have specific discussions and propose to the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for consideration.

The Director also added that this September, the Vietnam National Tourism Administration will organize a program to introduce Vietnam tourism in two major cities in India, which are dynamic cities with many film producers, with the participation of airlines and major tourism businesses in Vietnam. The program will be an opportunity to introduce Vietnam's potential and strengths to Bollywood filmmakers, as well as tourism businesses and airlines in India.
