Accordingly, the Prime Minister decided to strengthen the State Steering Committee on Tourism , including the following members:
1. Head of Steering Committee: Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh.
2. Deputy Head: Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Mr. Bui Van Khang, Deputy Minister of Finance;

Functions, duties, powers
The Steering Committee is an interdisciplinary coordination organization whose function is to assist the Prime Minister in researching, directing, and coordinating the resolution of important, interdisciplinary issues in tourism activities nationwide.
Research and propose to the Prime Minister directions, tasks and solutions to develop tourism.
The Steering Committee is responsible for assisting the Prime Minister:
Direct the coordination of activities of relevant ministries, branches and localities in developing and implementing tasks under national and key programs on tourism development in accordance with resolutions of the Politburo, the National Assembly, the Government and decisions and directives of the Prime Minister.
Direct, inspect and urge ministries, branches and localities in developing and implementing specific plans and programs on tourism development according to assigned functions and tasks.
Report to the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee any problems related to State policies and laws on tourism development that are beyond the authority of the Government, Prime Minister, ministries, branches and localities.
Direct ministries, branches, localities and mass media agencies to carry out propaganda and dissemination of the State's guidelines, policies and laws on tourism development.
Powers of the Steering Committee:
The Head of the Steering Committee uses the seal of the Prime Minister; the Deputy Head of the Steering Committee uses the seal of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the performance of his duties; Requests ministries, branches, local authorities and state agencies, organizations and individuals to provide information and documents serving the performance of the duties of the Steering Committee.
Working mode of the Steering Committee
The Steering Committee operates on the principle of democratic centralism, emphasizing the responsibility of the leader. Promoting the proactive, creative role and personal responsibility of the Steering Committee members.
The Steering Committee meets regularly every 6 months. When necessary, the Head of the Steering Committee will convene an extraordinary meeting. The members of the Steering Committee work part-time, comply with the assignment of the Head of the Steering Committee and enjoy the benefits according to current regulations.
Standing agency of the Steering Committee
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is the standing agency of the Steering Committee, responsible for ensuring the operating conditions of the Steering Committee, and using the Ministry's functional agencies and units to organize the implementation of the Steering Committee's tasks.
The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall submit to the Head of the Steering Committee the Regulations on the operation of the Steering Committee and assign responsibilities to the members of the Steering Committee.
The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, decided to establish the Steering Committee Office located at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to assist the Steering Committee.
This Decision takes effect from the date of signing; replaces Decision No. 335/QD-TTg dated April 24, 2024 of the Prime Minister on the consolidation of the State Steering Committee on Tourism and Decision No. 1145/QD-TTg dated October 9, 2024 of the Prime Minister on changing members participating in the State Steering Committee on Tourism.
