The National Achievements Exhibition with the theme "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" at the National Exhibition Center, Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi is a key activity in the series of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
With a large scale and diverse types of displays, the exhibition not only recreates the heroic historical journey of the nation but also introduces outstanding achievements in the fields of politics , economics, culture, society, national defense, security and foreign affairs.
In the bustling crowd visiting the Exhibition, many people could not hide their emotions and pride.
Ms. Ngoc Bich, Kim Lien Ward, Hanoi City shared that after visiting, the Exhibition was very visual and vivid, people directly witnessed historical artifacts, the country's socio-economic achievements and would better understand the meaning of independence and freedom. "I believe that after this visit, each citizen will love the Fatherland more, be more responsible in studying and training to contribute to building the country", Ms. Ngoc Bich shared.
For the first time, many people could not hide their emotions and pride when seeing the historical seals of the Government, Government leaders and the Government Office through the ages. Besides their legal and administrative value, each seal is also a "witness" of important historical periods, associated with the decisions and directives of the Government through the ages.
Ms. Quynh Anh, Dong Da ward, Hanoi shared: "Looking at the seals over the years, I feel like I see the whole journey of the country's steadfast construction and development. This is truly a vivid lesson for the young generation about responsibility and patriotism."
For many young people, the exhibition also opens up a new perspective, helping them better understand the role of the Government Office in the country's governing apparatus, thereby further appreciating the value of each historical milestone.
Not only a place to display and introduce achievements, the exhibition is also a meeting place for people to review history, foster patriotism, faith in the leadership of the Party, and the sustainable development of the country. Many students, university students, and youth union members were organized to visit in groups, participate in activities to learn about the Exhibition, thereby spreading the spirit of patriotism and civic responsibility.
Rich and emotional exhibition space
The exhibition is designed according to the flow of history, divided into many areas with distinct highlights. Right from the entrance, visitors are welcomed and introduced, displaying the outstanding achievements of the Country in 80 years of construction and development; introducing Vietnamese culture - Country - People with a 4000-year cultural tradition; the rich cultural diversity of 54 ethnic groups; the abundance of resources, products of the three regions and outstanding architectural works past and present across the country...
The area of socio-economic achievements reflects the country's dramatic change from a backward agricultural economy to a dynamic, deeply integrated socialist-oriented market economy.
Impressive figures on growth, import-export turnover, modern transport infrastructure, healthcare network, education, social security, etc. are vividly presented through tables, images, 3D models, lighting projection technology, and interactive screens.
Outdoor exhibition areas in the West, South, and East courtyards with the theme "Integration and Development": Introducing green industries and the journey of green transformation and digital transformation; Vietnam's security and defense industry with the theme "Sword and Shield"; aviation and aerospace industry with "Aspiration for the Sky"; along with art performance spaces, tourism fairs, cuisine, etc.
International exhibition area and 12 cultural industries with the theme "Integration and Creativity" at exhibition hall block A: Displaying and arranging works and products of 12 cultural industries and achievements of each field, with the motto "Creativity for construction" and the exhibition space with the theme "Vietnam and the World".
One of the highlights of this Exhibition is the strong application of modern technology and the introduction of many creative display ideas appearing for the first time in a national-scale exhibition. Virtual reality technology, augmented reality, interactive touch screens, 3D models and multimedia projections will be integrated synchronously in the exhibition spaces, helping the public not only observe but also directly interact, explore and experience, helping to convey content in a more intuitive, vivid and accessible way.
In particular, the "Local Imprint" space attracted the attention of many visitors when each province and city had its own exhibition booth. Here, images, artifacts, and typical products introduced the achievements, development potential, and changes in the lives of the people of each locality after 80 years under the flag of independence.
