- On the afternoon of August 29, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) held the first advanced typical conference, period 2025 - 2030.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, the Department of Science and Technology has synchronously and effectively implemented patriotic emulation movements associated with professional work, making an important contribution to serving the socio -economic development of the province. Notably, the Department has advised on the issuance of a Resolution on digital transformation. The Department has successfully built and operated many important digital platforms such as: Digital Border Gate Platform, Xu Lang Digital Citizen Platform... to help optimize import and export activities, aiming to improve the quality of service to the people. Digital infrastructure has received investment attention with 100% of communes and wards covered by high-speed Internet, along with the completion of the conversion of 2G to 4G mobile technology.

Scientific research projects and topics continue to receive attention. From 2020 to now, the Department has carried out 5 tasks under the national independent topic program and the program to support the application and transfer of scientific and technological advances to promote socio-economic development in rural mountainous areas and ethnic minority areas in the period of 2016 - 2025; 126 scientific research topics and projects and application of scientific and technological advances at the provincial level. The topics and projects have high applicability, contributing to improving the quality and efficiency of research, transfer and application of science and technology in production and life. In the period of 2021 - 2025, the Department has supported the establishment, management and development of intellectual property for 29 products of the province, of which 18 products have been granted certificates of protection for Geographical Indications, certification marks and collective marks.

From 2020 to present, the Department of Science and Technology has been assessed and classified by the Provincial People's Committee as having completed its tasks well or better (in 2023 and 2024, it completed its tasks excellently). The unit has received the emulation flag of the Provincial People's Committee 4 times and has been awarded a certificate of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee 10 times for its outstanding achievements in the emulation movement.

Opinions also focused on promoting the role of the Department of Technology Management and Standards, Metrology and Quality in state management, contributing to promoting the development of S&T and innovation in Lang Son province...
