Implementing the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide" in 2025 launched by the Prime Minister, Lang Son province has issued many directive documents, actively deployed and effectively implemented. The province has launched 2 rounds of resource support; the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has issued an Open Letter on mobilizing support for the program in 2 rounds; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province has sent an open letter and a plan to mobilize support for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses to agencies and organizations inside and outside the province. Thereby, the program received widespread support from the people and the participation and contributions of many organizations and individuals with the spirit of "Mutual love and support", "No one is left behind". As a result, the whole province mobilized and received support resources with a total value of more than 489 billion VND (including money, goods, machinery, equipment and working days converted into money).
During the implementation process, the Provincial Steering Committee has resolutely directed the implementation of the program with the spirit of "6 clear": clear people, clear work, clear responsibility, clear authority, clear time, clear results. Inspection and supervision work has been carried out regularly and seriously at all levels. To date, 6,508/6,508 houses supported for construction and repair have been completed and put into use (including 3,840 new houses, 2,668 houses repaired), reaching 100% of the planned target (the target is to complete before August 30, 2025).
At the conference, representatives of sectors, agencies, units and localities in the province discussed and clarified the methods, solutions to remove difficulties, obstacles and results of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province in recent times.
Speaking at the conference, the Provincial Party Secretary acknowledged and commended all levels, sectors, armed forces, socio-political organizations, business community, philanthropists, and people of all walks of life for actively joining hands to implement the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province in recent times.
He suggested: In the coming time, Party committees, authorities and the entire political system in the area need to continue to thoroughly grasp the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's policies on sustainable poverty reduction and ensuring social security; strengthen the responsibility of leaders, link implementation results with inspection, evaluation and reward work, promptly commend and replicate advanced models and examples...
At the same time, review and perfect support mechanisms and policies in accordance with practical conditions, promptly supplement support for households facing housing difficulties. In addition, promote propaganda for people to promote the spirit of self-reliance and the aspiration to rise up to build a prosperous and happy life.
In his closing speech at the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested: Communes and wards in the area need to continue to review and pay attention to people's lives to have timely support programs, so that no one is left behind. At the same time, it is necessary to complete the procedures for final settlement of funds for the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, ensuring strict publicity, transparency, compliance with regulations and soon complete land paperwork for households that are still stuck. Party committees, authorities, departments, branches, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, and philanthropists need to continue to pay attention to supporting and improving the material and spiritual life of households whose temporary and dilapidated houses have been eliminated, ensuring long-term stability in life.
On this occasion, 23 collectives and 25 individuals received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025 in the province.
