- During the first 2 days (July 1 and 2) of the 50-day peak period of issuing electronic identification accounts to foreigners (from July 1 to August 19), the Immigration Department, Provincial Police, carried out procedures to issue level 2 electronic identification accounts for 9 cases of foreigners legally residing in Lang Son (registered and issued accounts directly to level 2).

It is known that there are currently about 40 foreigners residing, working and studying in the province. The Immigration Department, Provincial Police Department has set a target of carrying out procedures to issue level 2 electronic identification accounts for 100% of foreigners legally residing in the area by July 2025.

The issuance of level 2 electronic identification accounts aims to help foreigners conveniently carry out administrative procedures, online public services, residence declaration and other digital utilities, according to Decree No. 69/2024/ND-CP, dated June 25, 2024 of the Government regulating electronic identification and authentication.
