The total support fund for the second phase is 123.94 billion VND.

Previously, in the first phase, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city and Thanh Xuan district allocated 6,126 billion VND from the support fund for the victims of the fire to provide support.

Of which, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city supported 406 million VND; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khuong Dinh ward supported 5.720 billion VND for 143 people living in the building, with a support level of 40 million VND/person. The total of the two support periods is 130.12 billion VND.

For the remaining amount of VND 2,221 billion, based on Clause 7, Article 10 of Decree 93/2021, the Mobilization Committee agrees to handle arising issues, carry out environmental sanitation; prevent and control infectious diseases in the area where the fire occurred according to regulations.

Nguyen Xuan Truong, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Xuan District, said that after nearly 20 days since stopping receiving support for the victims of the fire, the Support Mobilization Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the district's functional agencies have developed a plan to support the victims based on the criteria prescribed in Decree 93/2021/ND-CP on the extent of damage, the victim's family circumstances, along with the total amount of money received, from which the district has a basis to develop a support plan.

This plan has been reported to the District and City Support Mobilization Committee and received consensus from the members of the Committee.

This is a solution to fundamentally solve the immediate difficult situation as well as help the victims of the fire stabilize their lives in the long term. This plan supports all people living in the building affected by the fire with support levels appropriate to their circumstances such as: the deceased, the survivors, the injured survivors (treated for less than 7 days, 7 days or more, seriously injured), children, children who have lost one parent or both parents...

Before providing this level of support, Thanh Xuan district held a meeting to listen to the thoughts, wishes and needs of the households and received consensus with the plan proposed by the district.

To facilitate households in receiving support money, the Mobilization Committee invited banks to support people by opening savings books or transferring money, ensuring the correct beneficiaries and support plans.
