Implementing the Economic Diplomacy Project 2025 to promote trade and enhance the presence of Vietnamese brands and products in Australia, especially the fashion industry, thereby promoting opportunities to export goods and bring Vietnamese brands to local consumers, the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia attended the 6th Australia-ASEAN Business Forum (AABF) and organized a Vietnamese booth at the Trade Fair within the framework of the Forum in Adelaide, South Australia from August 26-27.
The 6th Australia-ASEAN Business Forum took place on August 26-27 at the Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide, South Australia.
The event attracted more than 750 business leaders, policy makers, and experts in many fields from ASEAN and RCEP countries.
Governor-General of Australia Sam Mostyn, Premier of South Australia Peter Malinauskas and ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn delivered online and in-person speeches at the Forum.
With the theme “Advancing ASEAN’s Sustainable Agenda”, the Forum focused on topics such as renewable energy and green economy , agriculture and food security, digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI), human capital and skills development, empowering micro, small and medium enterprises; trade and investment.
As an important activity within the framework of the Forum, the Exhibition is where ASEAN countries and many businesses from both sides introduce their brands and typical products to partners and delegates attending the Forum, contributing practically to connecting and enhancing understanding between Australia and ASEAN countries.

Vietnam's booth at the Fair displays and introduces Vietnam's strong brands and products such as textiles, agricultural and aquatic products, handicrafts, etc.
In particular, the booth also displayed a number of fashion products made from banana fibers, a creative direction of Vietnamese enterprises in the effort towards a green and sustainable economy.
According to statistics from the Vietnam Customs Department, in the first 6 months of 2025, the import-export turnover between Vietnam and Australia reached 6.72 billion USD. The two countries aim to increase bilateral trade turnover to 20 billion USD and double two-way investment turnover in the coming time.
