After the conference in the morning, this afternoon (August 20), Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son and Minister Penny Wong visited and learned about Vietnamese history at the Vietnam National Museum of History (Trang Tien, Hanoi ).

The museum preserves, displays and introduces Vietnamese history from prehistoric times to the present day through a system of massive and valuable documents and artifacts, including many national treasures.

The museum is preserving and maintaining about 200,000 artifacts and documents of Vietnamese history and culture. The period of Vietnamese history from prehistoric times to 1945 has nearly 110,000 documents and artifacts which are relics and antiquities; including many rare and precious collections compared to museums of the same type in the country and the region.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son and Minister Penny Wong learned about Vietnam's period from the founding of the country to the Tran Dynasty. The two leaders learned about Dong Son culture with typical artifacts such as Hoang Ha bronze drum and Dao Thinh jar; Sa Huynh cultural relics with artifacts such as jewelry and pottery dating back 2,500-2,000 years ago; and relics of the late metal age in the South.

Learning about the period of Vietnam in the first 10 centuries AD, the Australian Foreign Minister was interested in the relief of the Trung Sisters (40-42), the model and painting of the Bach Dang battle (938)....

Afterwards, the Australian Foreign Minister met with generations of former Vietnamese students.

These alumni represent generations of strong educational cooperation between Australia and Vietnam since the 1970s. These alumni have achieved impressive achievements in their professional fields and have made great contributions to the development of Vietnam and the relationship between the two countries.
