The 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship is divided into 2 groups, in which group A (Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand) will compete at Lach Tray Stadium ( Hai Phong ), group B (Australia, Timor Leste, Myanmar, Philippines) will compete at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho).

After overcoming strong opponents, the Australian and Myanmar women's teams met in the final.

U23 Australia entered the game proactively, continuously pressing but encountered disciplined defense and the excellence of Myanmar's goalkeeper.

In the second half, the match became more exciting when the goal continuously denied goals from Australian players.

The turning point came in the 67th minute, when Holly Furphy finished close range after a beautiful combination, scoring the only goal of the final.

In the end, U23 Australia won 1-0, crowned champion of the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship.

In this match, although the Vietnamese women's team did not play better than their opponents in the first half, they still scored a goal in the 45th minute by Hai Yen.

In the second half, Huynh Nhu and Bich Thuy scored to raise the score to 3-0, before Thailand scored an honorary goal at the end of the match.

With this bronze medal, the Vietnamese women's team cannot equal Thailand's championship record.

In the history of the tournament, the Thai women's team has won the championship 4 times in 2011, 2015, 2016, 2018, while the Vietnamese women's team has won the championship 3 times in 2006, 2012, 2019.
