GD&TĐ - Recently, Vo Lao Kindergarten (Phu Tho) has achieved many outstanding results, affirming the quality of comprehensive care, nurturing and education of children.

Comprehensive care and nurturing for children

In the 2024-2025 school year, Vo Lao Kindergarten (Dong Thanh commune, Phu Tho province) has strived to achieve many outstanding results in caring for, nurturing and educating children, contributing to improving the quality of preschool education in the area.

During the last school year, the school maintained 11 classes with 257 children. 100% of children attended 2 sessions/day, had lunch and were regularly monitored for their health. The rate of malnourished children decreased to less than 2%, down 3.9% compared to the beginning of the school year.

Hygiene and food safety are ensured; facilities for child care and education are enhanced, such as playgrounds, vegetable gardens, flower beds, and safe outdoor toys.

In addition, the school also focuses on life skills education, creating opportunities for children to participate in experiential activities such as making banh troi, growing vegetables, organizing the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the program "Shine with your baby". These activities help children develop physically and mentally, while nurturing their creativity, communication, and self-service skills.

Ms. Vi Thi Viet Ha - Principal of Vo Lao Kindergarten emphasized: The Board of Directors identified universalizing preschool education for 5-year-old children as a key task. The school has done a good job of investigating and reviewing data, ensuring that 100% of 5-year-old children attend class, study the full curriculum, have boarding meals, and are cared for and educated according to prescribed standards.

All 5-year-old kindergarten classes ensure a ratio of 2 teachers/class, with minimum facilities, equipment, and supplies. As a result, 77/77 5-year-old children completed the preschool education program, reaching a rate of 100%.

This is an important premise for the school to continue aiming for universal education for 3-4 year old children, gradually improving the quality of care and education at earlier ages.

Promoting the construction of child-centered kindergartens

In the last school year, Vo Lao Kindergarten effectively implemented the theme "Building a child-centered kindergarten". 100% of teachers knew how to build activity plans according to the theme, creating an open and friendly learning environment for children to experience and explore . Children were interested in participating in activities, developing their personal abilities, and were more confident and flexible in handling situations.

At the same time, the school promotes the application of information technology in management, digital conversion of records and books, administrative procedure reform; organizes many professional competitions, emulation movements to make creative tools and toys, and decorate classrooms.

The staff and teachers are regularly trained, improve their professional capacity, deploy STEAM education, and incorporate it into teaching activities, helping children become familiar with modern educational methods.

Many parents also actively cooperated with teachers to make toys from available materials, participated in blood donation, contributing to building a culture of sharing and connecting the community.

At the end of the 2024-2025 school year, Vo Lao Kindergarten self-assessed its score to 88/100, classified as Good according to the competition criteria of Thanh Ba Department of Education and Training. Attendance rate reached 98%, good children 99.5%, year-end quality reached 100% at all ages.

The teaching staff was assessed to have completed their tasks well and excellently, of which 3 cadres and teachers were awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level.

According to the records, the school has focused on cleaning classrooms, repairing and renovating facilities, adding and scientifically arranging teaching aids, toys and equipment. Classrooms are cleaned, outdoor playgrounds are ensured to be safe, creating a friendly learning and playing environment for children.

The staff, teachers and employees actively participate in summer professional development classes, ready to carry out the tasks of the new school year. The school also closely coordinates with parents to prepare the children with the necessary mindset and skills before returning to school.
