According to the latest data from the i-Speed speed measurement platform (Vietnam Internet Center - VNNIC, Ministry of Science and Technology ), Vietnam's Internet speed continues to maintain a stable growth trend, in which the fixed broadband network nationwide in June 2025 continued to "upgrade."
Viettel reclaims 'top spot' thanks to sharp increase in fixed network speed
In June 2025, the average download speed of the fixed broadband network reached 224.02 Mbps. The upload speed also recorded a significant increase, reaching 166.07 Mbps. This is also the highest speed of the fixed broadband network in the last 12 months, double that of the same period in June 2024.

Regarding the quality of fixed broadband networks in provinces and cities, the fixed broadband network speed in Hanoi recorded a significant increase of up to 328.08 Mbps download speed. Meanwhile, Da Nang lost its "top position" when it recorded a decrease from 316.75 Mbps (May 2025) to 256.54 Mbps (June 2025).
Similarly, the quality of fixed network in the remaining major cities such as Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho also showed clear improvements compared to last month.

Regarding the network quality rankings among service providers, Viettel took the lead again with an average download speed of 250.95 Mbps and an average upload speed of 192.62 Mbps. After many months of leading, VNPT dropped to second place with an average upload and download speed of 221.72 Mbps and 163.33 Mbps, respectively. CMC ranked third with an average upload and download speed of 191.06 Mbps and 186.36 Mbps, respectively. Following behind were service providers including FPT Telecom, NETNAM and SCTV.
VNPT's 5G speed is the fastest in June 2025
Regarding the 5G mobile network measurement results, the national average speed in June 2025 decreased slightly compared to May 2025, reaching 287.7 Mbps for download speed and 80.07 Mbps for upload speed.

Meanwhile, VNPT's 5G speed suddenly increased sharply, leading among network operators in June 2025. VNPT's 5G network upload and download speeds were 304.53 Mbps and 55.25 Mbps, respectively.
Viettel's 5G network upload and download speeds were 292.76 Mbps and 84.38 Mbps, respectively, a slight decrease compared to May 2025. As for MobiFone, although it joined the "5G race" later, the network's speed has continuously improved with upload and download speeds of 171.9 Mbps and 40.22 Mbps, respectively.

Da Nang is also the locality that continuously leads in 5G speed compared to other major cities and provinces such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong and Can Tho. The average 5G download speed of Da Nang reached 441.32 Mbps, more than 3 times higher than that of Hanoi, which only reached 133.47 Mbps.

Thanks to the 5G network momentum, Da Nang is also the locality that continuously leads the country in terms of average mobile broadband speed. Da Nang's average mobile broadband speed in June 2025 reached 105.61 Mbps. Following closely behind are Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Hai Phong, and Hanoi. Hanoi is still the locality with the lowest mobile broadband speed in the last 3 months when the average download speed in June 2025 reached only 62.57 Mbps.

The average mobile broadband speed nationwide in June 2025 remains stable with upload and download speeds of 75.19 Mbps and 26.89 Mbps, respectively.

In terms of network rankings, Viettel continues to lead the market with an average download speed of 83.57 Mbps and upload speed of 26.81 Mbps.
VNPT ranked second with speeds of 70.71 Mbps and 29.41 Mbps, respectively. MobiFone held third place with 52.47 Mbps and 21.88 Mbps. Vietnamobile, despite achieving the highest speed in the last 12 months, still ranked last with download speeds of 10.94 Mbps and upload speeds of 4.62 Mbps./.
