News, pepper price forecast tomorrow July 7, 2025
Domestic market on July 7, 2025
It is forecasted that domestic pepper prices on July 7, 2025 will likely remain stable or fluctuate slightly within the range of VND 138,000/kg to VND 144,000/kg. In areas such as Gia Lai and Dong Nai, pepper prices may decrease slightly by about VND 500/kg if selling pressure increases. On the contrary, Dak Lak, Dak Nong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces are forecast to maintain higher prices due to limited supply. specifically, pepper prices in Dak Lak and Dak Nong fluctuate between VND 143,000 - 144,000/kg, while Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau remain around VND 139,000 - 141,000/kg, while Gia Lai records VND 138,000 - 139,000/kg.
Analysts say that without additional stimulus from the export market, especially from Middle Eastern partners, pepper prices are unlikely to increase dramatically in the short term. This poses a significant challenge for growers and businesses in maintaining profits when input costs remain high.
International market on July 7, 2025
In the international market, Vietnam's pepper export prices are expected to remain stable in the short term, supported by a strong US dollar and the return of large orders from the Middle East. According to the latest data from the Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA), pepper export volume in June 2025 held to decrease slightly compared to the previous month, but export turnover still increased thanks to improved average selling prices.
specifically, the export price of black pepper is expected to remain around 6,400 USD/ton, white pepper around 8,200 - 8,300 USD/ton. The US market is still the largest destination but recorded a decrease in volume, while exports to China increased sharply, creating balance for the market. Other major pepper suppliers such as Brazil and Indonesia also maintained stable prices or had slight fluctuations, reflecting competition and the influence of geopolitical factors and tariffs.
Overall, the global pepper market is in a stable phase but still has the potential for slight fluctuations. Exporting enterprises are advised to continue focusing on improving product quality and diversifying markets to minimize the risk of dependence on some traditional markets. The prospect of pepper price growth may be clearer by the end of the third quarter of 2025 when more favorable trading conditions are established.
