News, pepper price forecast tomorrow June 29, 2025
The market is approaching a short-term high today, and the fact that export enterprises have not adjusted their output prices may cause the increase to slow down.
If domestic pepper prices increase too quickly compared to world prices, the risk of losing competitiveness in the export market is entirely possible. In the context of global supply fluctuations due to erratic weather and epidemics affecting productivity, experts say that keeping a portion of the goods to sell when prices peak is a reasonable strategy.
Domestic market on June 29, 2025
Domestic pepper prices on June 29, 2025 are forecasted to trend sideways, fluctuating between VND 127,000 - 128,000/kg. Some localities may record a slight increase of VND 500 - 1,000/kg if export enterprises return to purchase in large quantities to stockpile goods for early July.
The price level generally does not fluctuate much because demand has not yet made a breakthrough. Many processing enterprises are in the process of restructuring orders, waiting for clearer signals from the international market.
Surveys from key growing areas show that many farmers have started to hold onto their stocks waiting for better prices, instead of selling off like in early June. This trend helps stabilize the market, avoiding shock fluctuations due to supply being concentrated at one time. If the holding situation continues combined with early purchases by businesses, pepper prices could reach 129,000 - 130,000 VND/kg in the first week of July.
International market on June 29, 2025
The international pepper market is showing supportive signs from increased consumption demand during the domestic tourist season in many countries, along with increased exports to the Middle East and South Asia markets – regions that have recorded stable pepper consumption levels.
However, the market also faces many challenges such as high logistics costs, exchange rate fluctuations and increasingly fierce competition from emerging pepper producing countries such as Cambodia and Sri Lanka.
To take advantage of the opportunity, producers and exporters need to focus on improving product quality, especially clean pepper and organic pepper, which are highly appreciated by the international market and have growth potential.
