At the meetings, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh informed about the situation, major orientations, development priorities, as well as the favorable investment and business environment in Vietnam and the very good friendship between Vietnam and Brazil, especially when the two countries upgraded their relationship to Strategic Partnership in November 2024.
The Prime Minister businesses asked to contribute to concretizing the very good political and diplomatic foundation between the two countries into economic measures, connecting businesses, connecting the two economies, and crystallizing the friendship, friendship, and sincerity between Brazil and Vietnam into specific products and results.
Informing that the parties are promoting negotiations to soon sign the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the MERCOSUR bloc, as well as with Brazil and the Vietnam-Brazil Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement, the Prime Minister asked Brazilian corporations, associations and business federations to contribute so that these agreements can be signed soon, creating better conditions for businesses to cooperate and do business.

* At the meeting with the Prime Minister, Mr. Celso Nunes Cio, Creative Director of Alterosa MK, said that the company is a joint venture between Alterosa Group (Brazil) and MK Group of Vietnam, operating in the field of providing payment solutions and payment card products, smart cards and financial technology services; Hoping that the Governments of both sides will create favorable conditions for this joint venture to expand investment more conveniently.
Appreciating the position and role of Alterosa Group in the Brazilian market and the efforts of MK Group in expanding the market in Latin America in particular and the world in general, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that in the Vietnam - Brazil strategic partnership, cooperation in the field of science, technology and innovation is identified as one of the key in the content of the relationship between the two countries in the coming period.
Welcoming the emerging role of MK Group in implementing many effective investment cooperation activities abroad in general and in Brazil in particular, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that MK Group and Alterosa Group, in the process of investment cooperation with Brazilian partners and enterprises, continue to pay attention to the lives of workers, making more positive contributions to community development and the general socio-economic development of Brazil and Vietnam.
Introducing Vietnam's identity card integrating many features, tools, and data, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hopes that MK Group and Alterosa will develop payment card products, smart cards, and financial technology services... to provide to the Brazilian market. At the same time, with a large network of partners, Alterosa MK will be a bridge connecting cooperation, further deepening bilateral relations between the two countries in high-tech fields, meeting the needs of development cooperation in the new era.

* The Prime Minister also had a working session with the President of the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FIRJAN), Mr. Luiz Césio Caetano.
He said that as a bridge between the private sector and the Government, FIRJAN supports the development of industrial development policies, promotes innovation, improves the business environment and enhances business competitiveness.
FIRJAN also manages vocational training programs, economic research, sustainable development and international cooperation, contributing significantly to Brazil's industrial development and strengthening connections with partner economies around the world. With about 8,000 businesses in the network, FIRJAN hopes to be a bridge to connect Vietnamese and Brazilian businesses, promote investment and business cooperation, and contribute to connecting the two economies.
Appreciating FIRJAN's positive contributions in connecting businesses of the two countries, promoting industrial cooperation, technology transfer, human resource training, innovation, green industry development, especially coordinated to organize the Vietnam - Brazil Business Forum in November 2024, the Prime Minister said that from FIRJAN's activities, there are currently a number of Brazilian businesses carrying out procedures to invest hundreds of millions of USD in Vietnam.

Regarding the bilateral relations, especially in the economic field, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the Vietnamese Government welcomes the bridging role of FIRJAN in promoting the Brazilian business community, especially from Rio de Janeiro state, to learn about, invest in and expand cooperation with Vietnam.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Vietnam is an open economy with a stable political environment, a young population, an abundant workforce, competitive costs and is an attractive destination for international investors. Vietnam is also a member of many new-generation free trade agreements (CPTPP, EVFTA, RCEP...), opening up a large market space.
Therefore, the Prime Minister hopes that FIRJAN will continue to promote its role in connecting and introducing Brazilian industrial and technological enterprises to cooperate in areas of Vietnam's need such as processing and manufacturing, clean energy, supporting industries, creative industries, logistics, technical training and digital transformation; and request FIRJAN to support Vietnamese enterprises investing, producing and doing business in Rio de Janeiro in particular and Brazil in general.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hopes that FIRJAN will establish a regular cooperation mechanism with industry associations, industrial zones and investment promotion agencies of Vietnam; Affirming that the Vietnamese Government will accompany and support FIRJAN and the business community of Rio de Janeiro state in the process of accessing the market and implementing cooperation projects in Vietnam, in the spirit of win-win, transparency and sustainable development.
* This is the final activity of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh within the framework of his working trip to attend the expanded BRICS Summit and bilateral activities in the Federal Republic of Brazil. On the same evening, the Prime Minister and his wife, along with the Vietnamese delegation, left Rio de Janeiro to return home, successfully concluding the working trip./.
