Surprising information about the referee causing a storm in the final match of the 32nd Sea Games

Referee Al-Hatmi issued 7 red cards in the final match of SEA Games 32.

In this match, referee Kassem Matar Al-Hatmi issued 7 red cards and more than 10 yellow cards to players and coaching staff of the two teams.

At the beginning of the first extra time, U22 Indonesia scored to increase the score to 3-2 and chaos occurred again.

In the above situation, Mr. Al-Hatmi showed 5 red cards to goalkeeper Soponwit (U22 Thailand), center back Komang (Indonesia), two assistants of Thailand and 1 assistant of Indonesia.

When the match resumed, the referee continued to show two red cards to Teerasak and Khemdee of U22 Thailand (each player got 2 yellow cards).

However, this is not the first time referee Al-Hatmi has created a "rain of cards" in a match he refereed.

Since the beginning of his career, this referee has officiated only 15 matches. However, he has issued 43 yellow cards and 5 red cards.

In only one of those matches did the Qatari referee issue exactly one yellow card. In the rest, he issued more than three yellow cards per match or at least one red card.
