Another bank sets the time to pay cash dividends

Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (HoSE: ACB ) has just announced that the last registration date to exercise the right to pay 2023 dividends in cash and shares is June 3, 2024.

Accordingly, ACB will pay cash dividends at a rate of 10% (shareholders owning 1 share will receive 1,000 VND). The expected payment date is June 13. With more than 3.8 billion shares in circulation, the amount that ACB plans to spend on dividends is 3,884 billion VND.

According to the 2023 management report, ACB Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Tran Hung Huy, currently owns more than 133 million ACB shares, equivalent to 3.43% of capital, and is expected to receive VND 133 billion from this dividend payment.

In addition, ACB will also pay stock dividends at a rate of 15% (shareholders who own 100 shares will receive 15 new shares). The bank plans to issue more than 582.6 million additional shares to pay dividends. However, the time for paying stock dividends has not been announced.

After completing the dividend payment, ACB's charter capital is expected to increase from VND38,840 billion to more than VND44,666 billion, an additional maximum of VND5,826 billion.

According to data from the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, since its listing in 2020, ACB has regularly paid dividends to shareholders in the form of cash or shares.

In 2023, the bank paid 2022 cash dividends at a rate of 10% and paid stock dividends at a rate of 15%.

On the stock market, at the end of the session on May 23, ACB shares increased by 1.79% to VND28,450/share with a trading volume of more than 10.4 million units.

In addition to ACB, in May, 3 other banks have set the time to pay cash dividends, namely VPBank, Techcombank and MB. VPBank announced the last registration date to pay 2023 cash dividends as May 23, 2024, with a dividend payment rate of 10%. The expected payment date is May 31. The total expected profit to be used for dividends is more than VND 7,900 billion.

Accordingly, MB set the last registration date to receive cash dividends as May 24, 2024. The expected time to pay dividends is from June 14. MB will spend VND 2,653 billion to pay cash dividends at a rate of 5%.

Techcombank also plans to pay cash dividends to existing shareholders at a rate of 15%/share (shareholders owning 1 share receive 1,500 VND). The expected amount of cash dividends is 5,283 billion VND. The last registration date to exercise the right is May 22, 2024. The expected payment date is June 5, 2024 .
