Rural youth are given many opportunities to improve their entrepreneurial skills.

(Chinhphu.vn) - The "Rural Youth Startup Project" Contest in 2025 is a special playground organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to encourage rural youth to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and career establishment, contributing to building a modern and sustainable agricultural economy.

Many young ethnic minorities bring start-up products to the competition

The contest was launched in March 2025 and received 228 project entries from 45 provincial and municipal youth unions nationwide. Of these, 33 projects were registered by ethnic minority youth: Dao (4), H'Mong (9), Ha Nhi (1), Khmer (1), Muong (3), Nung (3), San Diu (1), Tay (6), Thai (5).

Participating projects focus on the fields of agricultural development applying science and technology, promoting indigenous resources, environmental protection and preserving national culture.

The preliminary round jury selected 120 projects for the semi-final round taking place at the end of June 2025.

After the Semi-final round, the Jury selected the 30 best projects to participate in round 3 (national final round).

At the National Finals, contestants will be introduced to experts as direct coaches, supporting them to continue completing their projects. The competition and award ceremony is expected to take place in October 2025.

Participating in the final round, the projects are divided into 3 project groups according to project areas.

In which, the contestant promotes the product visually and introduces the project; presents the project to the jury. The jury listens and scores the presentation, question and answer part of the contestant.

In addition, there will be many support activities for contestants such as: Organizing trading floors, calling for investment capital, organizing conferences to discuss support policies in agricultural production with the participation of leaders of ministries, branches, central agencies, representatives of investment funds, commercial banks and economic groups in related fields, organizing fairs to promote products of contestants participating in the contest.

The contest is accompanied by Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( Sacombank ). Through the contest, rural youth have more opportunities to access capital, improve their entrepreneurial skills and contribute to developing the rural economy in a modern, green and sustainable direction.

This year's award structure will include: 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, 3 Encouragement Prizes and other prizes. In which, the First Prize will receive a prize worth 50 million VND and receive capital support from the National Employment Fund to implement the project with a maximum of 1 billion VND (The project must meet the prescribed conditions to borrow capital).

In addition, the Organizing Committee will, depending on the actual situation, award additional prizes, including: 1 prize for investment projects; 2 prizes for projects with social significance and good development potential; 01 prize for projects meeting integration standards.

In addition, projects participating in the National Final Round will receive a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Organizing Committee will introduce them to investment enterprises, support and advise on the practical implementation of projects suitable to the needs of enterprises.
