Recently, the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park (SHTP) announced the decision to approve CMC Technology Group (CMC) as the investor to implement the hyperscale data center project worth more than 250 million USD at SHTP.
According to CMC representative, this is not just a normal data center but is designed as the "heart" of storing - calculating - analyzing huge data, providing services related to artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, big data and network security for millions of users.
The center synchronizes next-generation network technologies such as XGS-PON, SD-WAN, SASE, and 800G DWDM optical transmission network system, ensuring extremely large, stable and secure bandwidth connections from the core to the network edge.
In particular, the application of Digital Twin helps simulate and monitor in real time, optimizing the operational performance of the entire Data Center.

In addition, renewable energy solutions are prioritized for deployment to save energy for equipment, meeting modern Green DC standards. The initial design capacity is 30 MW of electricity, which will be expanded to 120 MW in the future, ready to serve the huge computing needs for AI development and digital economic sectors.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CMC, said that the group does not consider CMC Hyperscale Data Center SHTP as a mere data center, but this is the infrastructure foundation for Ho Chi Minh City to develop into a Digital Hub of the region, a core infrastructure serving digital transformation, AI transformation. At the same time, it is a place where Vietnamese enterprises can access the most powerful computing resources, no longer having to bring data abroad.
"This is a specific action of CMC in response to Resolution 57/2024 of the Politburo on breakthrough development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, as well as Resolution 68/2025 of the Politburo on private economic development" - Mr. Chinh affirmed.
