Speaking at the ceremony, journalist Ly Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Heritage Magazine, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Award, said that the Heritage Photography Award - Heritage Journey 2023 ended with the Award Ceremony and Opening of the Heritage Journey 2023 Exhibition. This is an activity to honor the authors, creative artists, partners, and sponsors who have accompanied the photo award through 10 years of development and innovation.

According to journalist Ly Thi Thanh Huong, this year's 2023 Photo Award - Exhibition is also of great significance, as it marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of Heritage Magazine (1993 - 2023). In particular, with the title of Asia's Leading Inflight Magazine, which Heritage Magazine was recently honored with the World Travel Award - the world's leading award in the tourism industry in early September, the annual Heritage Photo Award - Photo tour also contributes significantly to the source of image materials, so that the editorial office's publications are increasingly of high quality, fulfilling the mission of promoting Vietnam's image to the world.
This is the 9th time the Heritage Photography Award - Heritage Journey has been successfully held by Heritage Magazine.
After 4 months of launching (from April 1 to July 31, 2023), the Organizing Committee received 186 photo sets, 536 cover photos and 19 single photos submitted to the contest. The Organizing Committee assessed that the quality of the entries was quite even, with compositions on the themes of cultural practices, heritage and festivals still dominating.
The jury selected and awarded prizes to outstanding works. Specifically, in the photo series category, the Organizing Committee awarded 7 prizes, including: A Special Prize was awarded to author Ngo Quang Phuc with the photo series "Ndam Padhi Bani Ceremony in Ninh Thuan". A First Prize was awarded to author Bang Cao with the photo series "Generic treasure of wild beeswax".

Five equal prizes were awarded to the works: "Journey to find whales in the East African sea" by Nguyen Ngoc Thien; "The seaweed harvesting profession in Quang Ngai" by Alex Cao; "The pottery profession without a turntable in Binh Thuan " by Nguyen Quoc Huy; "Khu Gia Gia festival of the Ha Nhi people (Lao Cai)" by Nguyen Vu Hau; "Water wharf in the life of the ethnic groups in the Central Highlands" by Duong Manh Khiem.
The cover photo category only had 5 equal prizes, awarded to the following works: "Son Tra mot mua hoa" by Tran Minh Tri; "Bong bien" by Nguyen Hai; "Cau Vang wenh nang duong" by Nguyen Tan Tuan; "Duong xuyen dao Cat Ba" by Do Ba Hung; "Mua la do doi" by Vu Lam.
The single photo category has one Vietnam Airlines Moment award given to the work "Landing" by author Nguyen Ngoc Thien.
