(Fatherland) - On October 24, news from the Department of Culture and Sports of Quang Binh province said: The Department of Culture and Sports of Quang Binh province and the Department of Information, Culture and Tourism of Khammouane province (Lao PDR) had a meeting and agreed on many cooperation contents in the cultural field of the two provinces.
Accordingly, leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports of Quang Binh province and leaders of the Department of Information, Culture and Tourism of Khammouane province had a meeting in Thakhek district, Khammouane province (Laos), exchanging information on the socio -economic situation and cultural fields of the two provinces.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Binh province will continue to coordinate and support the nomination of Hin Nam No National Park (Laos) as a cross-border World Heritage Site with Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park (Vietnam) World Heritage Site.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Director of the Department of Culture and Information of Quang Binh province, said: At the meeting with the delegation of the Department of Information, Culture and Tourism of Khammouane province, we highly appreciated the friendly relationship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos in general and the coordination and development between the two cultural sectors of Quang Binh and Khammouane provinces in particular; and discussed a number of related contents to clarify and unify the methods and contents of implementing coordination between the cultural management agencies of Quang Binh and Khammouane provinces.
Leaders of the cultural sector of the two provinces of Quang Binh and Khammouane (Laos) signed a memorandum of cooperation in the cultural field in the coming time.
In the coming time, we will continue to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the Department of Information, Culture and Tourism of Kham Muon and the Department of Culture and Sports of Quang Binh province by enhancing cooperation and sharing experiences in the management of cultural activities of the two provinces and countries such as: organizing activities to celebrate major holidays; managing and organizing festivals; managing, preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage (including tangible and intangible cultural heritage); building a healthy cultural environment; managing and controlling cross-border cultural products, etc.
The two provinces will, depending on actual conditions, organize mass art and professional art exchanges, fine art exhibitions, photo and artifact displays introducing historical and cultural values between the two provinces of the two countries, especially on the occasion of major holidays of the two countries, the two provinces and the anniversaries of even and full years of the establishment of Vietnam - Laos diplomatic relations (September 5) and the signing of the Vietnam - Laos Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation (July 18).
We hope that this cooperation will promote activities to contribute to improving and enhancing the spiritual life of people in the border area between Quang Binh and Kham Muon through visual propaganda activities, mobile propaganda, film screenings and art performances, etc., contributing to further tightening the friendly and solidarity relationship, especially for the twinned residential areas of Quang Binh and Kham Muon provinces, Ms. Thuy said.
