Aiming at sustainable production, Long Thuan Safe Vegetable Production and Consumption Cooperative continuously improves technology, applies advanced production processes to cultivate to improve product quality. In particular, the Cooperative has built a vegetable processing plant and an agricultural product dryer to meet market demand.
With the efforts in the past time, up to now, Long Thuan Safe Vegetable Production and Consumption Cooperative has 82 members cultivating an area of over 100 hectares; of which 30 members produce according to VietGAP process with an area of 18 hectares; the remaining members participate in safe vegetable production with an area of 12 hectares. Long Thuan Safe Vegetable Production and Consumption Cooperative is growing stronger and stronger in both scale and quality with 23 vegetable and fruit products such as: green mustard, sweet mustard, herbs, ginger, green onions, ST 25 rice...
The Cooperative also develops packaged products such as: pickled radish, pickled cucumber, dried ginger, dried green onion... Every month, the Cooperative supplies safe vegetables and fruits under contract to 9 units and enterprises with a quantity of 1.8 tons of products. Every year, the Cooperative's profits shared with members reach more than 22%/share; solving a large number of local laborers. At the same time, the Cooperative also participated in the OCOP Program with about 3 3-star products...
Mr. Duong Minh Sang - Director of Long Thuan Safe Vegetable Production and Consumption Cooperative shared: "In the coming time, the Cooperative will focus on consolidating its members, prioritizing attracting farmers with rice and vegetable production areas to enhance cohesion and maximize the services provided by the Cooperative.
