Dr. Ngo Duc Luu, Chairman of the Council of Bac Lieu University, spoke at the opening ceremony of the support and exchange activities.

Within the framework of close cooperation between Bac Lieu University and the National Information Society Agency of Korea (NIA), the Korean Avengers Volunteer Group under the WFK IT Volunteer Program 2025 officially started working at Bac Lieu University. This activity lasts for two weeks, aiming to share in-depth knowledge on artificial intelligence (AI) and enhance cultural exchange between the two countries.

The Avengers Volunteer Team consists of four members: Team Leader MinSoo Seo, along with Sion Lee, Hyebin Oh, and Yeongwoong Park. The volunteers will directly share their experiences in AI, including applications such as Notion (AI workspace), along with basic to advanced knowledge of Python, introduction to digital transformation, as well as data visualization. These sharing sessions will take place at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology's practice computer lab, attracting students from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and the Faculty of Social Sciences .

The cooperative relationship between Bac Lieu University and the Korean NIA has lasted since 2010. Every year, Bac Lieu University receives Korean volunteers from the Korea IT World Friends Program coordinated by NIA. Up to now, 48 Korean volunteers have come to share their experiences and information technology skills with students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of the university, contributing to improving the IT capacity of the young generation of Vietnam.

Speaking at the reception ceremony, Dr. Ngo Duc Luu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bac Lieu University, emphasized: “We highly appreciate the companionship and valuable experience sharing from NIA volunteers. This is not only an opportunity to learn about modern technology, but also an opportunity for students and both sides to understand each other better, promoting academic and cultural exchanges in the context of international integration”.

In addition to professional activities, the Avengers also organizes many rich cultural exchange activities. Students will have the opportunity to learn about Korean traditions, markets and traditional games. At the same time, the group will also introduce Korean cuisine and enjoy Vietnamese traditional cakes. The program also includes musical performances and tours of famous cultural sites in Ca Mau province such as: Quan Am Phat Dai area, Southern Traditional Music and Musician Cao Van Lau Memorial Area, longan garden and wind power plant.

The Avengers Volunteers' mission once again reaffirms the commitment of both sides to promote educational and cultural cooperation, contributing to building a sustainable digital future.
